Radio Taíno
Radio Taíno is a Cuban Spanish language radio station and is the tourism radio station of Cuba, broadcasts 24 hours a day from Radio Center Havana. History and details The station was founded on November 3, 1985 and was popularly known as "Cuba's tourist station", with content aimed at foreign visitors who came to the country as tourists, diplomatic missions and businesses. Already in the 1990s of the twentieth century, Radio Taíno's programming modernized its style and to guarantee a wider coverage they decided that the English language should be present. On Radio Taino there is a considerable presence of Cuban music, although songs from the Latin American, Caribbean or Anglo-Saxon repertoire are also broadcast. The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (; ICRT) was the government agency responsible for the control of radio and television broadcasters in Cuba. On August 24, 2021, the institute ceased to operate and was replaced by the Institute of Information and Social Communication. Radio Reloj
Radio Reloj (Spanish for ''Radio Clock'') is a government-owned Spanish-language radio station in Cuba. It carries an all-news radio format and is based in Havana. The station is noted for the sound of a ticking clock in the background, with its hosts announcing the time, every minute of broadcast. The station dates back from an era when some Cubans were too poor to own a watch or clock. They could get the time from listening to Radio Reloj (pronounced "Reh-Loh"). Frequencies The station is heard on various AM frequencies throughout the country, with the strongest signals on 570, 790 and 950 kHz. Radio Progreso is a Cuban Spanish language radio station. Founded on 15 December 1929, it has provided musical and other cultural programmes ever since. Live performances are held in Studio 1 (Estudio Uno) which holds an audience of 300 people. The slogan of Radio Progreso is ''La Onda de la Alegria'' ("The Airwave of Happiness"). Radio Rebelde (English: Rebel Radio) is a Cuban Spanish-language radio station. It broadcasts 24 hours a day with a varied program of national and international music hits of the moment, news reports and live sport events. Mauricio Alberto Lomonte Suárez (born 10 June 1982), known professionally as Mauricio Lomonte, is a Cuban radio announcer and television host.
