Radio Le Mans
Radio Le Mans is the English language radio service for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, as well as for numerous other sports car events. It first broadcast at the 1987 24 Hours of Le Mans. History The commentary was broadcast on local ('special event') radio in 1986, in 1987 headed by a sports car and radio enthusiast, Harry Turner, backed by Jim Tanner and Chris Crewe-Smith, founders of TTC radio. Backed by Silk Cut Jaguar Cars, Jaguar the station quickly found favour with the tens of thousands of English-speaking fans at the race. The early years provided for only a very rudimentary service, no pit reports and a music loop played overnight. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s the station evolved adding new features like the 'Mad' Friday Campsite Tour in 1989. English Language
English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England. Kangaroos are four marsupials from the family Macropodidae (macropods, meaning "large foot"). Martin Haven
Martin Haven is a British freelance motorsport commentator, who lives in Royal Leamington Spa. He is the Eurosport commentator for the World Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Cup and the official commentator of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation races, broadcast on the IBSF YouTube channel. Haven trained as a radio and print journalist, and after doing circuit commentary he made his TV debut in the late 1980s with BSB, with live coverage of the RAC Rally. He left a role at ''Autosport'' to cover NASCAR for Screensport, just as the channel was closed down by owners Eurosport. Joe Saward
Jonathan Mark Christopher "Joe" Saward (born 14 July 1961 in London) is a British Formula One journalist. Life and career Saward was educated at Haileybury College and attained a degree in history at Bedford College, University of London. In 1984 he joined '' Autosport'' magazine in London. He began reporting on Formula One in 1988, working alongside Nigel Roebuck and remained as Grand Prix Editor of ''Autosport'' until 1993. He later wrote for the ''F1 News'' magazine, and went on to create the ''JSBM'' newsletter and more recently a Formula One blog, called Joeblogsf1. He is also the F1 Editor of ''Autoweek'' magazine. Paul Truswell (broadcaster)
Paul Anthony Truswell (born 17 November 1955) is an English Labour Party politician and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Pudsey from 1997 to 2010. Born in Sheffield, Truswell moved to Leeds at 18 to study History at the University of Leeds and initially worked as a journalist for the ''Yorkshire Evening Post'' for a decade. He then spent another ten years working in local government in social services at Wakefield Council. John Hindhaugh (born 1962) is a sports commentator and broadcaster from Sunderland, England. He resides in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom with his wife Eve Hewitt, the managing director of Radio Show Limited, the production company of Radio Le Mans and IMSA radio, a company they own together. Hindhaugh is most closely associated with Radio Le Mans, where he debuted in 1989.
