Franz Josef Radermacher
Franz Josef Radermacher (born 20 March 1950) is a German mathematician and economist. He is Professor of Informatics at Ulm University. He is one of the co-founders of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative that suggests a socio-ecological plan to eradicate poverty, increasing global wealth while protecting natural resources. Scientific career Radermacher earned a PhD in Mathematics from RWTH Aachen in 1974. He earned a second PhD in Economics from the University of Karlsruhe in 1976. From 1983 till 1987, Radermacher was Professor for Applied Computer Science at the University of Passau. Since 1987 he is Professor for Artificial Intelligence and Databases at the University of Ulm. From 1988 till 1992 he was the President of the Society for Mathematics, Economics and Operations Research. Jacob Cornelis Matthieu Radermacher
Jacob Cornelis Matthieu (J. C. M.) Radermacher (1741 – 24 December 1783) was a Dutch botanist and author. Radermacher was born in The Hague, Holland. He was an officer of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in Batavia (Jakarta) as well as a talented naturalist. Born into an influential Dutch family, his father was Jacob Cornelis Radermacher (1700-1748), who was treasurer-general to the prince. His uncle and his nephew were members of the Board of Directors of the VOC. In 1757, then only sixteen years old, he had traveled to Indonesian to work as a merchant for the VOC. On 21 May 1761 Jacob married Margaretha Sophia Verijssel. In 1762 Radermacher created a Freemasonic circle in Batavia becoming the first Freemasonic lodge in Asia. In 1763 he returned to Holland to continue his studies, and graduated in law at Harderwijk. After graduation on 13 June 1766 he established himself as a lawyer in Arnhem. Erika Radermacher
Erika Radermacher (born 16 April 1936) is a German pianist, soprano and composer. Biography Erika Radermacher was born in Eschweiler, near Aachen. She studied music with Else Schmitz-Gohr in Cologne, Bruno Seidlhofer in Vienna and voice with Sylvia Gähwiller in Zurich. After completing her studies, she performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe. Radermacher married Urs Peter Schneider and settled in Bern and Biel, where she taught at the Conservatory of Music in Bern and sang as a soprano with the Ensemble Neue Horizonte Bern. After 1970 she became more interested in composition. She works as a lecturer in piano at the Bern University of Arts and also teaches piano, theory and improvisation in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ludwig Radermacher
Ludwig Radermacher (31 October 1867 – 28 June 1952) was a German-Austrian classical philologist born in Siegburg. In 1891 he earned his doctorate at the University of Bonn, where he was a student of Hermann Usener (1834–1905). Following graduation he remained in Bonn, where he assisted Usener with the works of Dionysius of Halicarnassus. In 1903 he became an associate professor at the University of Greifswald and three years later relocated to the University of Münster. In 1909 he succeeded Theodor Gomperz (1832-1912) as chair of classical philology at the University of Vienna, and where he remained until his retirement in 1937. In 1915 he became a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (AAS). Published works Radermacher specialized in research of classical rhetoric, folklore and mythology.
