Racing Pride
Racing Pride is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights charity working in the motorsport industry to promote inclusivity across the sport, and amongst its technological and commercial partners. The organisation was founded in 2019 in partnership with LGBT rights charity Stonewall. Racing Pride has announced a number of Driver Ambassadors from across a range of motorsport disciplines to improve the visibility of LGBT people in the industry and to increase inclusivity amongst racing fans and organisers. Those drivers who have already been announced as Racing Pride Ambassadors include Richard Morris, Charlie Martin, Sarah Moore and Abbie Eaton. LGBT Social Movements
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) movements are social movements that advocate for LGBT people in society. Some focus on equal rights, such as the ongoing movement for same-sex marriage, while others focus on liberation, as in the gay liberation movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Earlier movements focused on self-help and self-acceptance, such as the homophile movement of the 1950s. Although there is not a primary or an overarching central organization that represents all LGBT people and their interests, numerous LGBT rights organizations are active worldwide. The earliest organizations to support LGBT rights were formed in the early 20th century. A commonly stated goal among these movements is social equality for LGBT people, but there is still denial of full LGBT rights. Abigail Eaton (born 2 January 1992) is a British racing driver from the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. She starred as the test driver for the second and third series of ''The Grand Tour'', an Amazon Prime Video-exclusive motoring series. The rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland have varied over time. LGBT Pride Month is a month, typically in June, dedicated to celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride. Formula Student is a student engineering competition held annually in the UK. Student teams from around the world design, build, test, and race a small-scale formula style racing car. The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) is one of the biggest organising clubs for auto racing in the United Kingdom. History The Cyclecar Club was formed in 1912, running races for the small and light motorbike powered vehicles at Brooklands as well as rallies and sporting trials.
