Rachid Taoussi
Rachid Taoussi ( ar, رشيد الطاوسي – born 1959, Sidi Kacem) is a former Moroccan football player and manager. Club career Born in Sidi Kacem, Taoussi began his career at age 17 with Union Sidi Kacem as a midfielder. Coaching career From 1995 to 2000, Taoussi was the assistant coach of the Morocco national team. In 1997, Taoussi led the Moroccan Under-20 National Team to the 1997 African Youth Championship title. On September 22, 2012, Taoussi was appointed as manager of the Morocco national football team, replacing Eric Gerets who was sacked a week earlier. In 2013, Taoussi was sacked and replaced by U20 manager Hassan Benabicha. Sidi Kacem
Sidi Kacem ( Berber: ⵙⵉⴷⵉ ⵇⴰⵙⴰⵎ, ary, سيدي قاسم, sidi qasəm) is a city in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Morocco. It is the capital of Sidi Kacem Province. History During the French period the city was called Petitjean, in reference to a French captain who was killed in May 1911 during the "pacification" of Morocco. Oil drilling exploration commenced in the vicinity of Sidi Kacem by the French in 1934; production of crude oil began locally in 1939. The U-20 Africa Cup of Nations also called TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsoring reason (previously known as the African Youth Championship or the African U-20 Championship) is the main international youth football competition for CAF nations, and is competed for by under 20 year olds. The 2012 CAF Super Cup (also known as the 2012 Orange CAF Super Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 20th CAF Super Cup, an annual football match in Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), between the winners of the previous season's two CAF club competitions, the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The Moroccan Throne Cup or the Throne Cup is a football tournament sponsored by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and brings together Moroccan clubs who play on the knockout system until two teams reach the final match. Unlike the league championship in Morocco, which started in 1916 before Morocco gained independence from France and Spain, the cup competition was not organized until after independence, as the first season of this competition was in 1957. Hassan Benabicha ( ar, حسن بنعبيشة; born 15 April 1964) is a Moroccan football manager and former player. Eric Maria Gerets (, born 18 May 1954) is a Belgian football manager and former player who played as a right back. He started his playing career as an amateur for his local team AA Rekem, before achieving success with Standard Liège and PSV.
