Rachel Stevens (sculptor)
Rachel Stevens is a sculptor, emeritus professor of art at New Mexico State University and a Fulbright Scholar. Stevens has exhibited both in the United States and internationally. Exhibitions and installations Stevens's public sculpture, "You are Here", is displayed at Ventanas Ranch Park, in Albuquerque, NM. Her work has been exhibited at the Artists Space, New York, El Paso Museum of Art, Siddhartha Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal, the Boise Art Museum, Albany Institute of History and Art and the Everson Museum, Syracuse, NY. In 2018, her work, "A Key to the City: Three Ways of Visualizing Jewish Heritage in Lviv" was exhibited at the Lviv Center for Urban History of East Central Europe. Holocaust In Ukraine
The Holocaust in Ukraine took place in the '' Reichskommissariat Ukraine'', the ''General Government'', the ''Crimean General Government'' and some areas which were located to the East of Reichskommissariat Ukraine (all of those areas were under the military control of Nazi Germany), in the '' Transnistria Governorate'' and Northern Bukovina (both areas under the control of Romania, with the latter being re-annexed) and Carpathian Ruthenia (then part of Hungary) during World War II. The Center for Urban History of East Central Europe (Ukrainian: Центр міської історії центрально-східної Європи) is an independent research center, that was founded by the Austrian historian Harald Binder in 2004 as a private non-profit organization. It is one of the principal academic establishments looking at the urban history of East Central Europe, the region between the German-speaking countries and Russia. The academic principal of the center is Sofia Dyak. Location The Center for Urban History is located on Akademika Bohomoltsia Street off of Ivana Franka Street.
