Rachel Quon
Rachel Moy Quon (born May 21, 1991) is an American-Canadian former soccer defender. She played for the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League and for the Canada women's national soccer team. Early life Quon was born in Los Angeles, California, to a Canadian father and an American mother. She grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois, and attended Lake Forest High School. As a freshman in 2006, she was named All-Section and All-Conference. During her second year, she provided the most assists on her team and was voted All-State and All-Conference, and was named NSCAA All-American. She did not play high school soccer during her junior year, but scored 25 goals with 21 assists during her first two seasons. In 2009, she scored 15 goals and had 10 assists to lead the Scouts to a 2009 regional title and into the Class 3A sectionals. Chicago Red Stars
The Chicago Red Stars are a professional women's soccer club based in Bridgeview, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. A founding member of the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) league, they have played in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) since 2013. WPS was the NWSL's predecessor as the professional women's soccer league in the United States, and the Red Stars played in the WPS in 2009 and 2010. After leaving the WPS in December 2010 due to the league's financial issues, the club joined the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for the 2011 season. In 2012, the Red Stars co-founded and played in Women's Premier Soccer League Elite (WPSL-E): a one-year league which bridged the WPS and the NWSL. 2014 Cyprus Cup
The 2014 Cyprus Women's Cup was the seventh edition of the Cyprus Women's Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Cyprus. It took place between 5–12 March 2014. France won the final over defending champions England. For the first time, Canada did not reach the final, eventually finishing in fifth place. The Finland women's national football team, also known as nickname The Boreal Owls ( fi, Helmarit), represents Finland in international women's football. The 2010 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship was the fifth edition of the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship. The tournament was hosted by Guatemala, and all matches were played at the Estadio Cementos Progreso. The United States were the defending champions, having won the 2008 tournament, their second regional championship at the under-20 level. 2016 Chicago Red Stars Season
The 2016 Chicago Red Stars season was the eighth season of the soccer club and its fourth season in National Women's Soccer League. After a banner 2015 season, the team expected to do well again. The club ended the regular season at third place, and played the play-off semi-final at Boyds, Maryland against Washington Spirit on September 30, falling 2–1 and did not reach the championship match. This season the Red Stars returned to Toyota Park for its home games, where it last played on a regular basis during its 2010 season in Women's Professional Soccer league. 2013 NWSL College Draft
The 2013 NWSL College Draft was the first annual college draft held by the National Women's Soccer League to assign the NWSL rights of college players to the eight NWSL teams. It took place on January 18, 2013 at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lindsay Marie Taylor (born October 25, 1989) is an American professional soccer forward. She played for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL and was a member of the United States U-23 women's national soccer team. Early life Taylor was born in California to parents, Gary and Jennifer Taylor.
