Race Performance Motorsport
Race Performance Motorsport (RPM) is an Italian based and Irish owned auto racing team currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship. Background In February 2022, Irish racing driver Keith Donegan purchased the assets of RP Motorsport to start his own team, Race Performance Motorsport (RPM). The team is registered in Italy, and based in Piacenza, like its predecessor. With an aim to compete in the Formula Regional European Championship, he took on Enrico Carraro as team manager, and the team made their competition debut in the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship, when they took the place of DR Formula. They started their first season with Italian racing driver Pietro Delli Guanti and Donegan himself. Adam Fitzgerald (born 8 December 2003) is an Irish racing driver who is set to compete in the 2024 USF Pro 2000 Championship with Turn 3 Motorsport. He made his car racing debut in the 2022 F4 British Championship and competed in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship with RPM. The 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is a planned multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship to be held across Europe. The championship will feature a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This will be the sixth season of the championship and the fourth after a merger with Formula Renault Eurocup which resulted to the change of the engine supplier to Alpine. Pierre-Louis Chovet (born 11 April 2002) is a French racing driver. Career Karting Pierre-Louis Chovet practiced many sports during his childhood such as skiing, BMX or tennis. He attended the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix and quickly developed a passion for motorsports. He quickly discovered karting, by participating in PACA-Corsica regional championships, where he won the Cadet title in 2015. The following year, he finished second in the French Cup in Cadets. Even though he got supported by Stéphane Ortelli, a family friend, he sometimes missed several races and practice sessions because of his limited budget preventing him from training frequently and benefiting from the most efficient engines. The Société des Automobiles Alpine SAS, commonly known as Alpine (), is a French manufacturer of racing and sports cars established in 1955. The Alpine car marque was created in 1954. Santiago Ramos Reynoso (born 26 January 2004), known simply as Santiago Ramos, is a Mexican racing driver currently set to compete in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship for Race Performance Motorsport. Macéo Capietto (born 12 January 2006) is a French racing driver competing in the Formula Regional European Championship with Race Performance Motorsport. Early and personal life Born in Montereau and based in Veneux-les-Sablons, Capietto has spent all his life in the Île-de-France, the most populous region of France. He is the son of Prema Racing team manager and former karting driver Guillaume Capietto. Career Karting Following in the footsteps of his father, Capietto started competing in karting from a very young age. The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) is a FIA-certified regional European Formula 3 racing series. On 12 October 2018 it was announced that the Italian autosport regulator Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) and karting promoter WSK would organize the inaugural year of the championship in 2019. Their bid was chosen over Renault Sport's bid with the same chassis, who attracted fewer votes from Single-Seater Commission members. Following the 2020 season, the Formula Renault Eurocup merged with the Formula Regional European Championship to become the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
