Raat Aur Din
''Raat Aur Din'' () is a 1967 Indian Hindi-language psychological film directed by Satyen Bose. The leading actress, Nargis, won the distinguished National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Varuna, a married woman who has dissociative identity disorder. By day, she is a typical Hindu homemaker, whilst at night she calls herself Peggy and walks the streets of Calcutta. The film won critical acclaim for its story and Nargis' performance as Varuna. Over the years it has developed a cult following. This film marked Nargis' final film appearance. Satyen Bose
Satyen Bose (22 January 1916 – 9 June 1993) was a film director from India. He has directed both Bengali language, Bengali and Hindi language films. Among his most notable films are ''Raat Aur Din, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Dosti'', and ''Jagriti''. ''Jagriti'' won the Filmfare Best Movie Award in 1956 and ''Dosti'' won the same award in 1964. Without any formal training in cinema, Bose rose to fame with his offbeat debut film ''Parivartan'' (1949). He remade the Bengali film in Hindi as ''Jagriti'' in 1954. Bhupinder Singh (born Bhupinder Soin, 6 February 1940 – 18 July 2022) was an Indian musician, a ghazal singer and also a Bollywood playback singer. Early life Bhupinder Singh was born in Amritsar, Punjab to Natha Singhji, a musician and his introducer to music. Bhupinder's father was a stern teacher, and at one point, he detested music and its instruments.
