Ridderkerkse Voetbal Vereniging Hercules, known as RVVH is a Dutch football, based in Ridderkerk. Since 2018, its main male squad competes in the Hoofdklasse. RVVH has a highly successful women's squad. It played most years in the Topklasse since this league was started, including when the Topklasse was the top tier of Dutch women soccer. Former women players of RVVH, including in the youth, include Leyla Bağcı, Jeanine van Dalen, Manon Melis, and Nikki de Roest. Ridderkerk () is a town and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of in and covers an area of of which is covered by water. The municipality of Ridderkerk also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Bolnes, Oostendam, Rijsoord and Slikkerveer. Ridderkerk has a museum called De Oudheidkamer, about the history of the town. The Centre of Ridderkerk has a central square for events and there is a theater. Cor Van Der Gijp
Cornelis van der Gijp (1 August 1931 – 12 November 2022) was a Dutch footballer who played as a forward. Van der Gijp made his professional debut at SC Emma and also played for Feyenoord and Blauw Wit. Club career Van der Gijp made his debut for hometown side Emma in 1950, playing alongside his brothers Wim, Freek and Janus. He moved to Feyenoord in 1955, making his debut in 1956 to become the club's all-time top goalscorer with 177 goals in 233 league games. He played in a famous forward line alongside Henk Schouten and Coen Moulijn and won two league titles with the club. International career Van der Gijp made his debut for the Netherlands in a March 1954 friendly match against England and earned a total of 13 caps, scoring 6 goals. Giovanni Franken
Giovanni Francesco Zacharias Franken (born 14 November 1977) is a retired footballer who played as a midfielder and head coach of the under-21 team of ADO Den Haag. Born in the Netherlands, Franken represented the Netherlands Antilles at international level. He was also head coach of the Aruba national football team between October 2013 and August 2015. Jan Everse
Jan Everse (born 5 January 1954 in Rotterdam) is a retired Dutch football player and manager, who is currently head coach at amateur side BVCB. Playing career Club He made his professional debut for Feyenoord in a November 1973 Eredivisie match against Roda JC and also played for their arch rivals Ajax in the 1970s. In 1980 Everse was forced to retire from professional football due to a heavy injury, his final game was in December 1979 against Excelsior. International Everse made his debut for the Netherlands in an April 1975 friendly match against Belgium and he won his second and final cap in May that year against Yugoslavia. Gerard Weber (born 1938)
Gerard Weber (5 January 1938) is a Dutch former professional footballer for Excelsior Rotterdam. Nicknamed Webertje ( en, Little Weber), Weber was known for his speed. He played both as a midfielder and as a forward. Weber won several championships with Excelsior. He went on to manage football teams in the Rotterdam region, living in Zwijdrecht. Izaak Daniël "Daan" den Bleijker (30 June 1928 - 30 June 2003) was a Dutch footballer who was active as a forward. 2020–21 Eerste Klasse
2020–21 Eerste Klasse was an Eerste Klasse season. The teams were near-identical to the 2019–20 Eerste Klasse season, after the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands caused the KNVB to decide that there would be no relegation and promotion following the previous season. A few teams promoted anyway to the Hoofdklasse and Eerste Klasse. The league commenced on 22 August 2020 for the Saturday sections and 23 August for the Sunday sections and were curtailed on 24 February 2021, when the KNVB discontinued category A senior competitions in this season, including Eerste Klasse, again without promotion or relegation. Nikki de Roest (Heerjansdam, 4 April 1993) is a Dutch educator and a former association football player, who played professionally in 2012–2013 season for PSV/FC Eindhoven. She played internationally for the Netherlands in young soccer selections. De Roest plays as a midfielder. At present she plays futsal. Manon Melis
Gabriëlla Maria "Manon" Melis (; born 31 August 1986) is a Dutch football coach and former player who is a manager of women's football development at Feyenoord. As a professional player she played as a forward. She spent most of her professional career playing in the Swedish league Damallsvenskan, which she won three times with her club LdB FC Malmö, in 2010, 2011, and 2013. Melis also won the Swedish Supercup with Malmö in 2011, and was briefly with the Swedish teams Linköping and Göteborg. She was the Damallsvenskan top scorer three times, in 2008, 2010, and 2011.
