CBN (Australian TV Station)
CBN is an Australian television station licensed to, and serving the regions surrounding Orange, New South Wales, Orange, Dubbo and central and southern New South Wales. History Origins CBN-8 Orange commenced broadcasting on 17 March 1962, licensed to ''Country Broadcasting Services'', owners of local radio station 2GZ. They soon changed their name to Country Television Services. CWN-6 Dubbo began transmission on 1 December 1965. Also owned by Country Television Services, they became the first station to completely relay another station's programming, although some station identification, such as test patterns, remained separate and program output for CWN originated from CBN's studios in Orange. In 1968, the stations acquired access to the Postmaster-General's Department, Postmaster-General's microwave link, allowing viewers to see national news programs and other major events live for the first time. Veterinary medicine in the United Kingdom is the performance of veterinary medicine by licensed professionals. It is strictly regulated by the statute law, notably the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. Veterinary medicine is led by veterinary physicians, termed "veterinary surgeons" (with a different meaning to how it is used in some other anglophone countries, where it denotes a surgical specialist), normally referred to as "vets". Vets are often assisted by registered veterinary nurses, who are able to both assist the vet and to autonomously practise a range of skills of their own, including minor surgery under direction from a responsible vet. South Vietnam, officially the Republic of Vietnam ( vi, Việt Nam Cộng hòa), was a state in Southeast Asia that existed from 1955 to 1975, the period when the southern portion of Vietnam was a member of the Western Bloc during part of the Cold War after the 1954 division of Vietnam. It first received international recognition in 1949 as the State of Vietnam within the French Union, with its capital at Saigon (renamed to Ho Chi Minh City in 1976), before becoming a republic in 1955. Rovaniemi Airport ( fi, Rovaniemen lentoasema) is the third busiest airport in Finland, located in Rovaniemi, Finland, about north of Rovaniemi city centre. The Arctic Circle crosses the runway closer to its northern end. History The airport was built in 1940 with two grass-surfaced runways. During the Continuation War it served as an airbase and supply center for German Luftwaffe. Facilities In 2017, the airport served about 580,000 passengers. The main season of charter traffic from Great Britain and many other European countries lasts from the end of November until the middle of January annually. Many of these flights (especially from Great Britain) are day trip flights, with daytrippers (mostly families with young children) arriving in the morning and going home in the evening on the same day.
