RVG (band)
RVG (an acronym of Romy Vager Group) are an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, formed in 2015. The band's current line-up is composed of Romy Vager on vocals and lead guitar, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Reuben Bloxham, bassist Isabele Wallace and drummer Marc Nolte. Original bassist Angus Bell was part of the band from its inception until 2019, being replaced briefly by Siahn Davis before Wallace joined as a permanent fixture later that year. RVG have released three studio albums to date: ''A Quality of Mercy'' (2017), ''Feral'' (2020) and ''Brain Worms'' (2023). The band's blend of indie rock and post-punk has found considerable critical acclaim within Australia; '' Junkee'' has described RVG as "one of Australia’s best bands", while '' The Guardian'' has described Vager herself as "one of ustralia'smost underrated songwriters". ''Artificial Intelligence'' is the tenth solo studio album by Welsh rock musician John Cale, released on 6 September 1985 by Beggars Banquet. Background and recording ''Artificial Intelligence'' was originally titled ''Black Rose''. The title and some changes to the tracks delayed the album being released for five weeks. Having produced Nico's sixth and final studio album '' Camera Obscura'' (1985), Cale recorded this album in three weeks at Strongroom Studios with her backing band, the Faction, with a couple of additional musicians. The duo of Gill O'Donovan and Susie O'List who performed backing vocals on this album had previously performed backing vocals on tours with Eurythmics. 2021 Music Victoria Awards
The 2021 Music Victoria Awards were the 16th Annual Music Victoria Awards. The ceremony took place on 9 December 2021 at the Melbourne Recital Centre. The 2021 awards featured a number of changes, including a brand new category for Best Pop Act and the inaugural Arts Access Victoria Amplify Award (for deaf and disabled musicians). All genre categories will now be assessed on the act rather than album, with the requirement that nominees have released at least multiple recordings between 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2021.
