RS Vimal
R. S. Vimal is an Indian filmmaker who works in Malayalam film industry. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the Malayalam film ''Ennu Ninte Moideen'', for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Malayalam. Career He made documentary films for a Malayalam television channel for a period of time. Prior to making his feature directorial debut, Vimal made a documentary on the same subject, titled ''Jalam Kondu Murivettaval''. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the Malayalam film ''Ennu Ninte Moideen'', which was based on the real-life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala that took that place in the 1960s in Mukkam, Kozhikode. Kerala State Film Awards
The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. For the awards for literature on cinema a separate jury is formed. The academy annually invites films for the award and the jury analyses the films that are submitted before deciding the winners. The 1st IIFA Utsavam ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of Cinema of South India, South Indian cinema in 2015 was an event held on 24 and 25 January 2016 at the Gachibowli Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad. Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by the Filmfare magazine of The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Indian film industry encompassing four languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. They were introduced in 1954, around the films released in 1952-53 and Filmfare Awards initially recognizing the Hindi film industry. In 1964 awards were extended in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, around the films released in 1963. The Asianet Film Awards is an award ceremony for films presented annually by Asianet, a Malayalam-language television network from the south-Indian state of Kerala. Vikram (actor)
Kennedy John Victor (born 17 April 1966), better known by his stage name Vikram, is an Indian actor and playback singer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema and has also acted in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films.
