RSHP is a British architectural firm, founded in 1977 and previously known as the Richard Rogers Partnership which became Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. in 2007. The firm rebranded from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners to simply RSHP on 30 June 2022, after retirement and death of Richard Rogers. Its main offices are located in the Leadenhall Building, London completed to the firm's designs in 2014. Previously they were at the Thames Wharf Studios. In its various incarnations it ihas designed many important buildings including the Lloyd's building and the Millennium Dome in London and the Senedd building in Cardiff. Richard Rogers
Richard George Rogers, Baron Rogers of Riverside (23 July 1933 – 18 December 2021) was a British architect noted for his modernist and Functionalism (architecture), functionalist designs in high-tech architecture. He was a senior partner at RSHP, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, previously known as the Richard Rogers Partnership, until June 2020. Rogers was perhaps best known for his work on the Centre Georges Pompidou, Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Lloyd's building and Millennium Dome, both in London, the Senedd building, in Cardiff, and the European Court of Human Rights building, in Strasbourg. Mike Davies (architect)
Michael Jeremy Pugh Davies CBE RIBA FRSA FRGS FICPD (born 25 January 1942) is an English architect. He was a founding partner of the Richard Rogers Partnership and a senior partner of the firm's current incarnation, RSHP. He is well known for always dressing from head to toe in red. Early life and education Mike Davies was born in England in 1942. His father was a geographer, and he travelled extensively with him as a child. He was educated at Highgate School, the Northern Polytechnic and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, before graduating with a master's degree in urban design from UCLA in 1970. Career Mike Davies started his career at Airstructures Design in London while studying at the Architectural Association. 122 Leadenhall Street
122 Leadenhall Street, which is also known as the Leadenhall Building, is a skyscraper in central London. It opened in July 2014 and was designed by the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners; it is known informally as The Cheesegrater because of its distinctive wedge shape similar to that of the kitchen utensil with the same name. It is one of numbers of tall buildings recently completed or under construction in the City of London financial district, including 20 Fenchurch Street, 22 Bishopsgate and The Scalpel. The site is adjacent to the Lloyd's Building, also designed by Rogers, which is the current home of the insurance market Lloyd's of London. Graham Stirk
Graham Carl Stirk (born 8 January 1957) is an architect and senior partner at RSHP. He joined the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1983 and by 2007 the name of the practice changed to Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners to reflect his contribution to the practice, along with Ivan Harbour, later renamed RSHP, after the death of Richard Rogers. Early life and career Stirk was born in 1957 in Leeds, England, he joined the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1983 after studying at Oxford Polytechnic where he graduated with first-class honours degree (Bachelor of Science). Ivan Harbour
Ivan William Harbour (born 3 June 1962) is an architect and senior partner at RSHP. He joined the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1985 and by 2007 the name of the practice changed to Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in recognition of Graham Stirk and Harbour's contribution to the firm, later renamed RSHP, after the death of Richard Rogers. He has been the leading architect on two Stirling Prize winning entries for the practice in 2006 and 2009 for Terminal 4 of Madrid-Barajas Airport and Maggie's Centre, London respectively. Lloyd's Building
The Lloyd's building (sometimes known as the Inside-Out Building) is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London. It is located on the former site of East India House in Lime Street, in London's main financial district, the City of London. The building is a leading example of radical Bowellism architecture in which the services for the building, such as ducts and elevators, are located on the exterior to maximise space in the interior. In 2011, twenty-five years after its completion in 1986 the building received Grade I listing; at this time it was the youngest structure ever to obtain this status. It is said by Historic England to be "universally recognised as one of the key buildings of the modern epoch". Inmos Microprocessor Factory
The Inmos microprocessor factory, also known as the Inmos factory or Newport Wafer Fab is a semiconductor fabrication plant for Inmos built in Newport, Wales, UK in 1980. It has gone through numerous changes in ownership. Since July 2021, the factory has been owned by Nexperia. In November 2022, Chinese-owned Dutch-headquartered Nexperia was asked to divest 86% of its ownership. Team 4
Team 4 was a British architectural firm, established in 1963 by architecture graduates Su Brumwell, Wendy Cheesman, Norman Foster and Richard Rogers. Friction emerged within the firm, and by June 1967, Foster and Rogers decided to dissolve the firm. The practice originally included Wendy Cheesman's sister Georgie Wolton (née Cheesman) who, as the only qualified architect of the group, allowed the practice to function. Su Rogers
Susan Jane Rogers ( Brumwell; born 22 February 1939) is a British designer and educator. She was a co-founder and partner during the 1960s and 1970s in two architectural practices Team 4 and Richard + Su Rogers. From 1986 to 2011, she was a partner in Colquhoun, Miller and Partners (later John Miller + Partners). Rogers was a member of the team that won the design competition for the Pompidou Centre in the 1970s, and she co-designed the concept Zip-Up House in the 1960s.
