RK Crvena Zvezda
RK Crvena zvezda () is a Serbian handball club based in Belgrade. They compete in the Serbian Handball Super League. History Founded in 1948, the club made its Yugoslav Championship debut in 1954. They subsequently won back-to-back championships in 1955 and 1956. In 1995–96, the club had its most successful season to date, winning the domestic double ( league and cup) and reaching the Cup Winners' Cup semi-finals. SC Šumice
Šumice Cultural and Sports Center ( sr-Cyrl, Центар за културу и спорт Шумице) is an indoor sports arena located in Voždovac, Belgrade, Serbia. The hall is used for basketball, handball, Indoor soccer, indoor football, volleyball, and other sports. The venue was opened on 24 May 1974 and was originally known as the "Vоždovac Union of Pioneers of Yugoslavia, Pioneers Home". It has a total floor area of and includes a sports hall with 2,000 seats and a hall with the stage with 350 seats. Due to the lack of funds and bad maintenance, the venue has been in bad financial situation since the late 1980s and especially since the 2000s. The venue was partially reconstructed (congress hall, press hall, roof) in September–November 2017. Milan Kalina
Milan Kalina (; born 13 August 1956) is a Serbian former handball player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Club career After starting out at Partizan, Kalina played for Dinamo Pančevo and Crvena zvezda, before moving abroad. He spent five seasons with Barcelona (1985–1990) and won numerous trophies with the club, including the Cup Winners' Cup. International career At international level, Kalina represented Yugoslavia at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, winning the gold medal. Žikica Milosavljević
Žikica Milosavljević (; born 14 January 1972) is a Serbian handball coach and assistant coach Serbia national handball team and former player. Club career After starting out at his hometown club Dinamo Pančevo, Milosavljević spent one year with Kumanovo, before joining Crvena zvezda in 1994. He played for five seasons for the club, winning three consecutive national championships. In 1999, Milosavljević went abroad to Slovenia and spent two years with Prule 67, before switching to fellow Slovenian club Celje. He helped them win the EHF Champions League in the 2003–04 season. Vladan Matić
Vladan Matić (; born 28 April 1970) is a Serbian former handball player and current coach of Hungarian club Grundfos Tatabánya KC. He also holds Hungarian citizenship. Playing career Matić made his professional debut with his hometown club Metaloplastika. He later played for Partizan (1993–1995 and 1997–2001) and Crvena zvezda (1995–1997). In 2001, Matić moved abroad to Hungary and stayed with Pick Szeged until 2007. Nenad Maksić (; born 21 August 1972) is a Serbian handball coach and former player. Club career After spending two seasons with RK Crvena zvezda, Crvena zvezda (1993–1995), Maksić moved abroad to Slovenia. Petar Kapisoda (born 26 June 1976) is a Montenegrin former handball player. Club career After starting out at his hometown club Lovćen, Kapisoda moved to Crvenka. He later played for Partizan (1994–1996) and Crvena zvezda (1996–1998). Subsequently, Kapisoda returned to his parent club Lovćen, helping them win back-to-back championships in 2000 and 2001. Nikola Eklemović (, ; born 8 February 1978) is a Serbian-Hungarian former handball player. Club career Eklemović made his professional debut with Partizan and spent three seasons with the club (1993–1996). He also played for their arch-rivals Crvena zvezda for three years (1996–1999), before moving abroad. Later on, Eklemović spent over a decade in Hungary, switching two clubs: Pick Szeged (1999–2004) and MKB Veszprém (2004–2011). Igor Butulija
Igor Butulija (; born 21 March 1970) is a Serbian former handball player and coach. Club career Born in Belgrade, Butulija started out at Crvena zvezda and remained there until 1993. He would later return to the club on two more occasions (in 1995 and 1999). Over the course of his career, Butulija also spent three seasons in Spain with Atlético Madrid (1993–1994), Granollers (1994–1995) and Bidasoa (1996–1997). He lastly played for SG Handball West Wien (from 2000) and later served as player-coach (until 2005). In March 2006, Butulija was replaced as head coach by Wilhelm Doskocil. Branko Štrbac ( sr-cyrl, Бранко Штрбац, born 25 July 1957) is a former Serbian handball player. In 1984 he was a member of the Yugoslav handball team which won the gold medal at the Olympics. Branislav Pokrajac (; 27 January 1947 – 5 April 2018) was a Serbian handball coach and player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.
