RJ Thompson
RJ Thompson (born 25 June 1985) is a British singer-songwriter. Thompson came to prominence in 2014 after touring as support act for UK pianist Jools Holland, performing at venues including the Royal Albert Hall. Biography Early life and career beginnings (1985–2010) RJ Thompson grew up in the North East of England. He wrote his first song after witnessing a U2 concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Following an open mic night at The Studio in Hartlepool in 2004, he was asked to open the show the following night for Live Aid organiser Midge Ure. During this time period Thompson was working on an album entitled '' Illogical Life'', which was released to the public in 2006. Whilst released via an indie label, Thompson considers the album to be more like a "collection of demos" rather than his first studio record, as explained in a radio interview with Radio Teesdale. Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland () is a market town and civil parish at the confluence of the River Wear and the River Gaunless in County Durham, northern England. It is northwest of Darlington and southwest of Durham. Much of the town's early history surrounds the Bishops of Durham and the establishment of Auckland Castle's predecessor, a hunting lodge, which became the main residence of Durham Bishops. This is reflected in the first part of the town's name. During the Industrial Revolution, the town grew rapidly as coal mining took hold as an important industry. Part of the live album was recorded during RJ's tour with Jools Holland, and other tracks were recorded at his concert at the Sage, Gateshead in 2015. The album was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios. Tours RJ toured as the support act to Jools Holland throughout 2014 and 2015, during which 5 of the tracks on this album were recorded. Joan Anita Barbara Armatrading, (, born 9 December 1950) is a Kittitian-English singer-songwriter and guitarist. A three-time Grammy Award nominee, Armatrading has also been nominated twice for BRIT Awards as Best Female Artist. Symphony Hall is a 2,262 seat concert venue in Birmingham, England. It was officially opened by Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II on 12 June 1991, although it had been in use since 15 April 1991. Perth Concert Hall is a space that houses a programme of concerts, performances and contemporary art in Perth, Scotland. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom.
