RIT Tigers Women's Ice Hockey
The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Bruce B. Bates Women's Hockey Coach is former RIT player and captain Celeste Brown. History RIT added women's varsity hockey for the 1975–1976 season. After many years in the ECAC East, RIT moved to the ECAC West league for the 2007–08 season. The team made three NCAA tournament appearances at the Division III level, in 2007, 2011, and 2012, with a record of 5–2 in tournament games. They lost their lone game in the 2007 campaign to Amherst College. In their 2011 campaign, the lady Tigers lost at home, in the Frozen Four final, to Norwich University. Celeste Brown (ice Hockey)
Celeste Brown (born May 29, 1992) is an American former professional ice hockey player in the PHF, and is the current head coach of the RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team. Brown previously played for the New York Riveters during the 2015–16 NWHL season and the Connecticut Whale. In 2017, she was named an Assistant Coach for Penn State Women's Ice Hockey. Career During college, Brown played for the Rochester Institute of Technology women's ice hockey team, winning the NCAA Division III National Championship in her freshman year. She later served as a captain of the team. Brown signed a professional contract with the New York Riveters in 2015, joining the franchise for the 2015/16 NWHL season as a forward. The RIT Tigers Women's' Hockey Team represented the Rochester Institute of Technology in College Hockey America during the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. While Chad Davis still shaped his team in his second year, he was able to gain stability with a large influx of underclassmen. Okanagan Hockey Group
Okanagan Hockey School is a series of instructional ice hockey camps for youth players. The original school was founded in Penticton, British Columbia in 1963 by minor league hockey players Larry Lund and Nick Iannone. On-ice training was held at the Penticton Memorial Arena, with dryland training in the field behind the arena, and classroom instruction at the nearby Penticton Convention Centre. In the 1970s, the school expanded with a dorm for out-of-town students at Queen's Park Elementary School, and a second school location at McLaren Arena, also in Penticton. Okanagan Hockey School is the longest continuously-running hockey school in the world. Quincy, Washington
Quincy is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 7,543 at the 2020 census. History Geologic history Quincy lies atop a part of the Columbia River Basalt Group which is overlain by Pleistocene outburst flood deposits. 2011–12 RIT Tigers Women's Ice Hockey Season
The 2011–12 RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team was the Tigers' 37th season of varsity hockey and last at the NCAA Division III level. They represented Rochester Institute of Technology in the 2011–12 NCAA Division III women's ice hockey season. The team was coached by Scott McDonald in his sixth season as the program's head coach and played all of their home games at the Frank Ritter Memorial Ice Arena. The Tigers compiled a 23–1–1 record in the regular season; they hosted and won the ECAC West Tournament for the second straight year, and hosted the NCAA Frozen Four (national semifinals and finals) for the second straight year. The RIT Tigers represented the Rochester Institute of Technology in College Hockey America during the 2012-13 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The RIT Tigers represented the Rochester Institute of Technology in College Hockey America during the 2013-14 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. In only their second year at the Division I level, the Tigers won the CHA Tournament, defeating the Mercyhurst Lakers.
