Rapide Club de Relizane ( ar, سريع غليزان), known as RC Relizane or simply RCR for short, is a football club based in the city of Relizane. The club was founded in 1934 and its colours are white and green. Their home stadium, Stade Tahar Zoughari, has a capacity of some 30,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue 2. History The club came third in the 1988/1989 season in the Algerian first division. The club came seventh in the 2009–10 Ligue Inter-Régions de football – Groupe Ouest. The club was promoted for the 2010–11 season of the newly created Championnat National de Football Amateur due to the professionalisation of the first two divisions in Algeria. Relizane ( ar, ولاية غليزان) is a province (''wilaya'') of Algeria. Relizane is the capital. Other localities include Bendaoud, Bouzegza, Hamri, Kalaa, Mazouna and Zemmoura. The African Cup Winners' Cup was a football competition that started in 1975 and merged with the CAF Cup in 2004 to form the CAF Confederation Cup. The Algerian Ligue 2, also called Ligue 2 , formerly known as Ligue Professionnelle 2 and Championnat National 2, is the second highest division overall in the Algerian football league system. It was professional from 2010 to 2020. History The league was created in 1962, when Algeria became an independent nation, and has been played in a number of different formats. In 2010, the league became fully professional.
