R573 (South Africa)
The R573 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Pretoria with Marble Hall via KwaMhlanga and Siyabuswa. As the road passes through Moloto (at the Gauteng- Mpumalanga border), the entire route is known as the ''Moloto Road.'' It is maintained by the South African National Roads Agency. Route Its south-western terminus is a junction with the R513 road just north-east of Pretoria, Gauteng (east of Montana Park). It heads north-east for 48 kilometres, bypassing the Roodeplaat Dam and Roodeplaat Nature Reserve, to enter Mpumalanga at the town of Moloto and proceed to the town of KwaMhlanga, where it meets the R568 road. It continues east-north-east for 26 kilometres to the town of Kwaggafontein. Just before Kwaggafontein, it meets the northern terminus of the R544 road. From Kwaggafontein, the R573 continues north-east to cross into Limpopo at the town of Witfontein. Roodeplaat Dam is a concrete arch dam situated in South Africa on the Pienaars River (also known along parts of its length as the Moretele River and Moreleta Spruit), a tributary of the Crocodile River, which flows northwards into the Limpopo River. Union Buildings
The Union Buildings ( af, Uniegebou) form the official seat of the South African Government and also house the offices of the President of South Africa. The imposing buildings are located in Pretoria, atop Meintjieskop at the northern end of Arcadia, close to historic Church Square and the Voortrekker Monument. The large gardens of the Buildings are nestled between Government Avenue, Vermeulen Street East, Church Street, the R104 and Blackwood Street. Fairview Avenue is a closed road through which only officials can enter the Union Buildings. The N11 is a national route in South Africa which runs from the Botswana border at Groblersbrug, through Mokopane, Middelburg, Ermelo and Newcastle to end at the N3 just after Ladysmith. Route Limpopo The N11 begins at the Groblersbrug Border with Botswana (Grobler's Bridge in English) on the Limpopo River. On the Botswana side of the Limpopo River, the border is known as Martin's Drift. It begins by running south-east through Limpopo province for 190 kilometres to Mokopane. Just before entering Mokopane, the N11 is joined by the R518 and they form one road into Mokopane Central. At the junction with the R101 Road (Thabo Mbeki Drive), the N11 and the R518 join the R101 southwards. The R33 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Pietermaritzburg with Lephalale via Greytown, Paulpietersburg, Carolina, Belfast and Vaalwater. It is a very long road, passing through 3 provinces (Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal). Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River, which forms the province's western and northern borders. The capital and largest city in the province is Polokwane, while the provincial legislature is situated in Lebowakgomo. The R544 is a Regional Route in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It connects Bethal with Witbank (eMalahleni) and Verena and ends north of Thembisile (west of Kwaggafontein). Roodeplaat Nature Reserve
Roodeplaat (Dam Provincial) Nature Reserve is located on the shores of the Roodeplaat Dam, 22 km north-east of Pretoria, Gauteng. In 1972 the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF) delegated the management of the Roodeplaat Dam area to the Nature Conservation division of the Transvaal Provincial Administration (TPA). Their mandate was to develop the area as a nature reserve and outdoor recreation facility for Pretoria's residents. The reserve was proclaimed in 1977. Roodeplaat dam is a well-known destination for bird watching, game viewing and a range of water sports including freshwater angling. Over 250 bird species have been recorded here including some interesting species such as Osprey, Eurasian Reed-Warbler, Purple Heron, Black heron and Hammerkop.
