R510 (South Africa)
The R510 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Rustenburg with the Stockpoort Border with Botswana via Thabazimbi and Lephalale. Route It runs almost north-south for most of its length. The northern end of the R510 is the Stockpoort border post with Botswana. It runs east for 43 kilometres before giving off the R572 and assuming a southerly direction. It then continues to the town of Lephalale (Ellisras), where the R518 and the R33 both branch off, heading east. It continues south, giving off the R517 which head south-east, before reaching Thabazimbi. Just south of Thabazimbi, the R511 diverges and heads south. It then crosses into the North West, skirting the eastern border of the Pilanesberg National Park. Rustenburg (; , Afrikaans and Dutch: ''City of Rest'') is a city at the foot of the Magaliesberg mountain range. Rustenburg is the most populous city in North West province, South Africa (549,575 in 2011 and 626,522 in the 2016 census). In 2017, the city's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached ZAR 63.8 billion, accounting for 21.1% of the GDP of the North West Province, and 1.28% of the GDP of South Africa. R518 Road (South Africa)
The R518 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Lephalale with Zebediela via Mokopane. Route Its western terminus is an intersection with the R510 at Lephalale (Ellisras). It goes east for 69 kilometres to meet the southern terminus of the R561 at the village of Marken and turn southwards. The R518 continues south, then south-east, for 103 kilometres to meet the N11 National Route and enter the town of Mokopane. The R518 and the N11 become one road south-east into the city centre. In the city centre of Mokopane, the R518 and the N11 meet the R101 and all 3 routes are co-signed on the road southwards (Thabo Mbeki Drive). At the 2nd junction afterwards, by Mokopane Mall, the R518 leaves Thabo Mbeki Drive (which remains designated as the R101 & N11) and becomes its own road south-east. R104 Road (South Africa)
The R104 is a regional route in South Africa that is the designation for some of the old sections of roads that were previously the N4, prior to upgrading. It connects Pretoria with Middelburg in Mpumalanga via Bronkhorstspruit and Witbank. It also connects Pretoria with Rustenburg in the North West province via Hartbeespoort and Mooinooi. The R104 is also made up of a road in Nelspruit (Mbombela) which was previously part of the N4 national route. As the N4 bypasses the central part of the city to the north on a newer highway (opened on 13 June 2010), the old short road through Nelspruit central (Samora Machel Drive) is now designated as the R104. The R566 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Brits with Pretoria North via Ga-Rankuwa and Rosslyn. It is an alternative route to the N4 Highway for travel between Brits and Pretoria North. Route Its western terminus is a junction with the R104 route about 5.5 kilometres west of The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam in the Madibeng Local Municipality of the North West Province. It begins by heading north-east for 7 kilometres, flying over the N4 Highway (Platinum Highway), to reach a junction with the R512 route about 5 kilometres south of the Brits town centre, where it turns to the east. Pilanesberg National Park
The Pilanesberg National Park is located north of Rustenburg in the North West Province of South Africa. The park borders on the Sun City entertainment complex. It is currently administered by the North West Parks and Tourism Board. The area lies in the root zone of an extinct volcano, and is defined by alternating ridges and valleys forming concentric rings, a geological formation that rises abruptly in the form of hills above the surrounding plains. The Pilanesberg is named for chief Pilane of the Kgafêla people, who ruled from Bogopane, Mmamodimokwana and eventually Mmasebudule during the 1800s. The 'Pilanesberg Alkaline Ring Complex' is the park's primary geological feature. North West is a province of South Africa. Its capital is Mahikeng. The province is located to the west of the major population centre of Gauteng and south of Botswana. The R511 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Sandton (north of Johannesburg) with Thabazimbi via Hartbeespoort and Brits. It is an alternative route to the R512 for travel between the Johannesburg Metropole and Brits. Route Gauteng It begins as William Nicol Drive at its interchange with the N1 Highway ( Johannesburg Western Bypass) in Fourways, a suburb of Sandton, Johannesburg Metropole, Gauteng. South of the N1, the road is designated the M81. Heading north out of the city, it passes Montecasino, before crossing the R564 (Witkoppen Road). The R33 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Pietermaritzburg with Lephalale via Greytown, Paulpietersburg, Carolina, Belfast and Vaalwater. It is a very long road, passing through 3 provinces (Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal).
