The R337 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Cradock and the R329 heading towards Willowmore via Jansenville. From its northern origin in Cradock at the R390, it heads south-west, passing to the south of the Mountain Zebra National Park. It heads through Swaershoek Pass, and on the other side, it reaches a T-junction with an unsigned route. The R337 is signed as the western route, which eventually bends south to Pearston. There it becomes cosigned with the intersecting R63 before continuing out the town heading south-west. It then reaches the R75. It becomes cosigned, and the routes head through the Soutpansnek pass to reach Jansenville. Cradock, Eastern Cape
Cradock is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, in the upper valley of the Great Fish River, by road northeast of Port Elizabeth. The town is the administrative seat of the Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality in the Chris Hani District of the Eastern Cape. The town is named after John Cradock, governor of the Cape Colony and commander of the forces. Jansenville
Jansenville is a town in Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Town on the Sundays River, 87 km south of Graaff-Reinet. Laid out on the farm Vergenoegd in 1854, it was proclaimed in 1855 and became a municipality in 1881. Said to have been named after General Jan Willem Janssens (1762-1838), the last Batavian Governor of the Cape. Mountain Zebra National Park is a national park in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa proclaimed in July 1937 for the purpose of providing a nature reserve for the endangered Cape mountain zebra. History In the early 1930s, the Cape mountain zebra was threatened with extinction. The National Parks Board of Trustees proclaimed a area for the zebra's preservation in 1938 after the purchase of the farm ''Babylons Toren'', Cradock the year before. The mountain zebra population of the park comprised only five stallions and one mare and was insufficient to expand the population. By 1950 only two stallions remained, and a neighbouring farmer, Mr H L Lombard, improved the breeding pool by donating eleven zebra to the park, five stallions and six mares. Pearston is a small town in the eastern Karoo, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It lies between Graaff-Reinet and Somerset East at the foot of the Coetzeesberge, about north of Port Elizabeth. The R75 is a provincial route in Eastern Cape, South Africa that connects Graaff-Reinet with Gqeberha via Despatch, Kariega and Jansenville.
