R16 Road (Ghana)
The R16 Regional Highway is a highway located in the Volta Region of Ghana. It runs in a northerly direction from Srogbe, in the Anloga District of the Volta Region ending at the Dabala junction on the National Highway 1 (N1). The N1 is part of the Trans-African Highway network (Route 7). Route The highway runs from south to north, starting at Srogbe and passing through Lolito and Dabala before ending at the Dabala junction. The highway begins at Srogbe where it meets the R11 Regional Highway which runs from the west through Atorkor and eastwards through Whuti and onwards through Anloga, the district capital. It proceeds in a north westerly direction through Alakple-Kome junction. It continues through a number of villages including Agortoe and Agbatsivi. It then continues into the South Tongu District. Dabala is a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Dabala Secondary Technical School. The school is a second cycle institution. Dabala is also known for its strategic market known as the Dabala Market. This market is highly patronised by traders from the entire country of Ghana and the republic of Togo. Sogakope
Sogakofe (also known as Sogakope) is the capital of South Tongu district, a district in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is home to the lower Volta Bridge which connects Sogakofe to Sokpoe. The town is mostly known for its river tourism and Mass bread production. The lower Volta Bridge is also the site for the famous Tortsogbeza, an annual festival held during Easter, which involves diving off the bridge, and is held in conjunction with the neighbouring town, Sokpoe. It is home to the Holy Trinity Spa, Cisneros Villa Hotel and other notable resorts including Shekinah Glory Hotel, Sogakofe Beach Resort etc. Most commuters plying the Accra to Aflao road usually stop over to buy snacks and bread. Keta
Keta is a coastal town in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is the capital of the Keta Municipal District. Keta was an important trading post between the 14th and the late 20th centuries. The town attracted the interest of the Danish, because they felt they could establish a base here without interference from rival European nations. Their first initiative was to place a factory at Keta to sell alcohol. In 1792, a war between Anloga and Keta broke out. The original people then migrated across the lagoon to Klikor to establish the Somey State with Agbozume as its capital. Keta was then repopulated with people from other areas of the surrounding communities. Faced with the threat of war between Peki and an alliance of the Ashanti and the Akwamu, the North German Missionary Society (also known as the Bremen Missionaries) moved the focus of their activities from Peki to Keta. Togo

Aflao
Aflao is a town in Ketu South District in the Volta Region on Ghana's border with Togo. Aflao is the twenty-eighth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 96,550 people. In the 18th century, Aflao served as one of the major markets for the slave trade. Aflao is a big Land shared by the border of Ghana and Togo. So we have Aflao of Ghana and Aflao of Togo. The culture of this land base on their clothes called Kente or kete. Their local music is Agbadja and Brekete. Ghana authorities plan to creat a unique common post at Aflao. South Tongu District
South Tongu District is one of the eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Tongu District Council, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 1466. The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Volta Region and has Sogakope as its capital town. Geography There are many streams in South Tongu District. Volta Region
Volta Region (or Volta) is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. It is located west of Republic of Togo and to the east of Lake Volta. Divided into 25 administrative districts, the region is multi-ethnic and multilingual, including groups such as the Ewe, the Guan, and the Akan peoples.
