R. L. Bhatia
Raghunandan Lal Bhatia (3 July 1920 – 14 May 2021) was an Indian politician. He was the Governor of Kerala from 23 June 2004 to 10 July 2008, and was the Governor of Bihar from 10 July 2008 to 28 June 2009. He signed the Border Peace and Tranquility Agreement with China on behalf of the Republic of India. Biography Bhatia was born to Arooramal Bhatia and Lal Devi Bhatia, in Amritsar, Punjab on 3rd July, 1920. He graduated from the University of the Punjab in Lahore, and received an LLB. After this, he served as a member of the governing body of Amritsar for nine years. Bhatia was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 1972, from the Amritsar Parliamentary Constituency. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha from the same constituency at the 1980, 1985, 1992, 1996 and 1999 elections as a member of the Indian National Congress. Devanand Konwar
Devanand Konwar (1934 – 25 April 2020) was a senior congressman from Assam who served as the Governor of the Indian states of Tripura, Bihar and West Bengal. Career Konwar began his career as a lecturer in the English Department of Cotton College in Guwahati. Then in 1961 he went to work for the American firm Standard Vacuum Oil Company in Mumbai as a marketing manager and remained in that position for seven years, coordinating Petroleum Products distribution Networks in Northern and Eastern India from Trombay, Vizag, Barauni, Noonmati, Digboi Refineries and Budge-Budge sea Terminal and another company Inland Product Terminals. In 1968-69 he established a Degree College in Guwahati City known as Guwahati College as its founder Principal. Sikander Bhakt
Sikander Bakht (24 August 1918 – 23 February 2004) was an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who served as the 15th governor of Kerala from 2002 until his death. He was elected as the Vice President of the BJP, served as its leader in the Rajya Sabha, and as a cabinet minister in the NDA government headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In 2000, he was awarded Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour of the Government of India. Early life Sikander Bakht was born in Quresh Nagar in Delhi, India in 1918.
