''R.I.D.E.'' (pronounced "ride") is the third studio album by American country music group Trick Pony. It is the group's only recording for the Asylum-Curb label. The album's name is an abbreviation for "Rebellious Individuals Delivering Entertainment". This album includes the singles "The Bride", "It's a Heartache", and "Ain't Wastin' Good Whiskey on You". Two of the tracks on this album are cover songs: "It's a Heartache" is a cover of a pop standard which has been recorded by Juice Newton, Lorrie Morgan, Rod Stewart and Bonnie Tyler, whose version was a Top Ten hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and country charts in 1978, while "Señorita" was previously recorded by Los Lonely Boys on their 2004 self-titled album. Trick Pony
Trick Pony was an American country music group, formed in 1999 by Heidi Newfield (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), Keith Burns (lead guitar, vocals), and Ira Dean (bass guitar, vocals). They recorded three studio albums: '' Trick Pony'', '' On a Mission'', and '' R.I.D.E.'', released in 2001, 2002, and 2005. These albums produced eight singles on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart, including four Top 20 hits: " Pour Me", "On a Night like This", " Just What I Do", and "On a Mission". In 2006, Newfield departed for a solo career and Aubrey Collins replaced her as lead vocalist. The group disbanded after Collins and Dean left in 2007 and 2008. "The Bride" is a song by American country music group Trick Pony, recorded for their third and final studio album ''R.I.D.E.'' (2005). The song was penned by Liz Hengber, Darryl Burgess, and Lee Ann Burgess and produced by Chuck Howard, Anthony L. Smith, and member Ira Dean. It was released on June 21, 2004 as the lead single from the album and the group's debut single for Asylum-Curb Records following their departure from Warner Bros. Nashville in 2003. Liz Hengber
Liz Hengber (born August 22, 1959) is an American songwriter and musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. Hengber was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from New Milford High School in New Milford, New Jersey in 1977. She graduated from the Theatre Department of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in 1981. Hengber began her song-writing career after moving to Nashville, where she initially worked at the Bluebird Cafe as a waitress. In 1991, Hengber signed with Reba McEntire's companStarstruck Entertainmentas a songwriter. Joe Logan Diffie (December 28, 1958 – March 29, 2020) was an American country music singer and songwriter. After working as a demo (music), demo singer in the mid 1980s, he signed with Epic Records' Nashville division in 1990. Between then and 2004, Diffie charted 35 singles on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart, five of which peaked at number one: his debut release "Home (Joe Diffie song), Home", "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)", "Third Rock from the Sun (song), Third Rock from the Sun", "Pickup Man" (his longest-lasting number-one song, at four weeks) and "Bigger Than the Beatles". Sherrie Veronica Krenn (born 28 August 1970), known professionally as Sherrié Austin, is an Australian actress and country music singer. Ronnie Scott was a British pop music promoter, group manager and songwriter; known primarily for hit songs co-written with Marty Wilde in the 1960s, and Steve Wolfe in the 1970s. With Marty Wilde In 1966, Scott was working for The George Cooper Agency, whose artists roster included The Bystanders (who Scott also managed) and Marty Wilde. Scott wrote a number of songs, some on his own, but most co-written with Wilde, demos of which were recorded by The Bystanders. "'It's a Heartache'" is a song recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. Written by Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe, and co-produced with David Mackay, the single was released in November 1977 through RCA Records.
