R. Parthiban
Radhakrishnan Parthiban (born 14 October 1958) is an Indian actor and film director who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He has directed 15 films, produced 13 films and acted in more than 70 films. He started his career as assistant director for K. Bhagyaraj in 1984 and the duo worked in over 20 films from 1984 to 1991. Parthiban is known for having directed critically acclaimed films such as ''Pudhiya Paadhai'' (1989) and ''House Full'' (1999) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. He also won National Film Award – Special Jury Award in ''Otha Seruppu Size 7'' (2019). Tamil Film Producers Council
Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), is a union for film producers in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, based in Chennai. Formed on 18 July 1979, the group has a charitable trust fund to provide financial support to retired producers, voiced support for film producers and have collectively protested for socio-political issues. Elections in the Producers council, which is made up of over 1500 members, are held once every two years to determine the president of the group. Actor-producer Vishal has been elected as the President of the Producers council after he won the election held in April 2017. On 25 December 2018, R. ''Engal Swamy Ayyappan'' () is a 1990 Tamil-language Hindu devotional film directed by Dasarathan. The film, produced by Ramani, had musical score by Dasarathan and was released on 28 December 1990. Plot An Ayyappan's devotee (Dasarathan) tells five different stories of Ayyappan's miracles to the other devotees. The first story is about Rajaswamy (Hari Raj). Thalattu Padava is a 1990 Tamil language drama film directed by R. Sundarrajan. The film stars Parthiban, Rupini and Kushboo. The film, produced by A. S. Ibrahim Rowther, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 5 September 1990. Plot Raja (Parthiban) lives with his mother Thayamma ( Sujatha) and he is a graduate who works as a mechanic until he finds an appropriate job. He finally gets a job in Delhi. Unfortunately, Raja misses the train in a station and his certificates, because of Narmadha (Rupini), a poor idli seller. Raja must wait 4 days for the next train. Slowly, Raja and Narmadha fall in love with each other. When he returns home, his mother Thayamma becomes mute. Raja works as the car driver of a rich man Kandhasamy (S. S. Plot Kannan, a bus conductor, falls in love with Shanthi, a Brahmin girl. After seeing Shanthi answering in a TV interview in which the anchor asks questions regarding marriage and married life, Kannan tells to his colleague Naidu that he wants to marry Shanthi.
