''Quotidien'' () is a French television show, first broadcast 12 September 2016 on the channel TMC. It is presented by Yann Barthès. History On 9 May 2016, Yann Barthès announced that he was leaving Canal+'s '' Le Petit Journal'', a programme which he had presented since it began in 2004. On the same day the TF1 Group announced that it had recruited Barthès to present two new programmes: a daily show on its channel TMC and a weekly show on the TF1 channel. Canal+ later announced that Barthès would be replaced as presenter of ''Le Petit Journal'' by Cyrille Eldin. The first episode of ''Quotidien'', broadcast 12 September 2016, featured a guest appearance by the singer Vanessa Paradis who opened the series. It also featured an interview with the Socialist Party politician and former Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira, an appearance by the actor Valérie Lemercier, and a live performance by the band La Femme. Yann Barthès
Yann Romain Barthès (born 9 October 1974) is a French journalist, TV presenter and producer, best known for hosting the television programme ''Le Petit Journal (Canal+), Le Petit Journal'' and ''Quotidien''. Life and career Barthès first studied English at the University of Savoy in Chambéry before reorienting to journalism by integrating, between 1995 and 1998, the "Sciences of Information and Communication Institute" at the Bordeaux Montaigne University, in Bordeaux. Barthès became a journalist in 2002 on the show ''+ clair'', a weekly program dealing with media issues, which aired on Saturday afternoons on Canal +. In 2004, he joined ''Le Grand Journal (Canal+), Le Grand Journal'', for which he presented a nightly segment entitled ''Le Petit Journal People'' (''The Little News Report - Celebrities''). ''Le Petit Journal'' is a French news and entertainment television program that airs every weekday on Canal+, presented by Cyrille Eldin. It was hosted by journalist Yann Barthès from its beginnings in 2004 through to June 2016. The program initially aired as a segment of '' Le Grand Journal'' until 2011, when it became a separate program. Eldin took over the show after Barthès left Canal+ to start a new programme on TF1 named ''Quotidien''. Format In the Yann Barthès era, ''Le Petit Journal'' featured several regular contributors. Nora Hamzawi
Nora Hamzawi (born 29 April 1983) is a French humorist, comedian, and columnist. Biography Nora Hamzawi is of Syrian origin by her mother. She was born in Cannes and grew up in Paris. After obtaining a baccalauréat, she enrolled in law school but gave up after three weeks. She then enrolled at IUT Paris Descartes in Infocom and completed her training at CELSA, section "marketing, advertising and communication". She follows in parallel with her studies Cours Florent and Atelier Fanny Vallon. She goes on stage in 2009 with her first one-woman show. Martin Jean Weill (born 11 April 1987 in Paris, France) is a French television journalist. Since September 2016 he has worked as a foreign correspondent for the nightly news and entertainment programme ''Quotidien'', broadcast on TMC.
