Quix
Jono Schnell, known professionally by his stage name Quix (stylised in all caps), is a New Zealand DJ and electronic music producer. Since 2020, he has also been a part of the electronic music duo known as Tiger Drool, alongside fellow record producer, Robert Vincent Hughes. Quix was born and raised in Auckland and grew up in a Christian home. His considers himself Christian and currently goes to the Hillsong Church along with his wife. At a young age, his mother home-schooled him for a period of time. He started experimenting with music when he was 9-years-old playing in bands and started getting into EDM when he was 14. He chose the moniker Quix and got his name from translating his last name from German which means fast. In 2017 he dropped his debut EP titled "Heaps Cool".One of his most popular songs is his collaboration with Boombox Cartel "Supernatural", which has received millions of plays and was released on the label Mad Decent. Slumberjack (stylised in all caps) is an Australian electronic music duo consisting of Morgan Then and Fletcher Ehlers. Their 2017 single, "Fracture", peaked at 89 on the ARIA Charts. Members Morgan Then Morgan Then was raised in Borneo, before moving to Perth for university. Self proclaimed "handsomer half of Slumberjack", Then has had a long relationship with his love for music, growing up listening to world music and learning piano from his father from a young age. Dim Mak Records is an independent, Los Angeles-based record label, events company, and lifestyle brand founded by Steve Aoki in 1996. The label has released music under the genres of punk, indie rock, hardcore, hip hop, and electronic dance music. History Early years Steve Aoki started Dim Mak Records in 1996 at the age of 19, out of his college apartment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The label's first release was a 7-inch record by a hardcore punk band called Stickfigurecarousel. The name ''Dim Mak'' is a reference to Bruce Lee's Death Touch martial art technique. Alex Hosking (born 1992/93) is a singer-songwriter from Adelaide, Australia. She came to prominence following her feature on the PS1 single "Fake Friends", which peaked at number 19 on the Official Singles Chart. Early life Hosking was raised in Adelaide, Australia. Boombox Cartel is a Los Angeles-based DJ act consisting of producer Americo Garcia (of Laredo, Texas) and writing partner, Jorge Medina (of Monterrey, Mexico).
