Queens Pound River, a partly perennial stream, perennial river of the Tuross River catchment, is located in the upper ranges of the South Coast (New South Wales), South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Queens Pound River rises on the northern slopes of the Kybeyan Range within Wadbilliga National Park, southwest of the locality of Yowrie and flows generally north and northwest, before reaching its confluence with the Wadbilliga River near the locality of Wadbilliga. A stream is a continuous body of surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. A perennial stream is a stream that has continuous flow of surface water throughout the year in at least parts of its catchment during seasons of normal rainfall, Water Supply Paper 494. as opposed to intermittent river, one whose flow is intermittent. In the absence of irregular, prolonged or extreme drought, a perennial stream is a watercourse, or segment, element or emerging body of water which continually delivers groundwater. Tuross River
The Tuross River, an open semi-mature wave dominated barrier estuary or perennial stream, is located in the South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Tuross River rises of the eastern slopes of the Kybeyan Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, below Mount Kydra on the western edge of Wadbilliga National Park, not far from Cooma. Wadbilliga National Park
Wadbilliga National Park is a national park that is located in high country spanning the Monaro and South Coast regions of south-eastern New South Wales, Australia. Location and features Wadbilliga National Park is located southwest of Sydney via Cobargo, and south east of Canberra. The nearest towns are Narooma and Cobargo in the east, and Cooma on the plateau in the west. Wadbilliga is a wilderness area, and much of its protected area is in a near pristine state.
