Queen's Award For Enterprise Promotion
The Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion is one of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise, and is awarded annually to people who play an outstanding role in promoting the growth of business enterprise and/or entrepreneurial skills in other people. It is bestowed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Recipients receive an engraved crystal glass commemorative item, a Grant of Appointment and are invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organizations who excel at international trade, innovation, sustainable development or promoting opportunity (through social mobility). They are the highest official UK awards for British businesses. The scheme was established as The Queen's Award to Industry by a royal warrant of 30 November 1965, and awards are given for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility. Each award is valid for five years and winners are invited to a royal reception and are presented with the award at their company premises by one of the Queen's representatives, a Lord-lieutenant. Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council is the local authority of the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. The council styles itself Calderdale Council. It is a metropolitan district council, one of five in West Yorkshire and one of 36 in the metropolitan counties of England, and provides the majority of local government services in Calderdale. Eric Binns (Public Administrator)
Eric Binns (13 August 1924 – 20 September 2007) was an English professional footballer who played as a defender. During his career he played for Halifax Town, Burnley and Blackburn Rovers in the Football League and also had spells in non-league football. Career Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Binns started his footballing career as an amateur with Huddersfield Town before joining his home-town club Halifax Town in May 1946. He scored one goal in six league matches for the club but was released at the end of the 1946–47 campaign. Binns subsequently moved into non-league football with Goole Town but returned to the professional game two years later after being offered a contract by Football League First Division side Burnley following a successful trial period. Citrus Saturday is an international experiential learning programme developed by UCL Advances, the centre for entrepreneurship and business interaction at University College London, aimed at teaching entrepreneurship and enterprise skills to young people around the world by giving them the opportunity to set up a one-day lemonade business and make profit for themselves. The University of South Wales ( cy, Prifysgol De Cymru) is a public university in Wales, with campuses in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. It was formed on 11 April 2013 from the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport.
