Quasar (motorcycle)
The Quasar is a semi-enclosed feet forward motorcycle, created by Malcolm Newell and Ken Leaman, who made a number of similar vehicles. It repurposed an 850 cc four-cylinder inline engine used in the Reliant Robin three-wheeled light car and is capable of cruising at 90–100 mph (145–160 km/h) and exceeding 100 mph in favourable conditions. Design In the Quasar, the rider sits feet forward or feet first, changing the usual position of the rider from on top and straddling the vehicle, to inside and sitting down. Unlike most motorcycles, the Quasar is a cabin motorcycle with a roof which goes over the rider. While normally not a problem, tall riders with larger, more modern helmets may have trouble fitting inside although it is also possible to carry a passenger with an intimate squeeze. ''Top Gear'' was a British motoring magazine programme created by the BBC and aired on BBC Two between 22 April 1977 and 17 December 2001. The programme focused on a range of motoring topics, the most common being car reviews, road safety and consumer advice. Yamaha RD350LC
The Yamaha RD350LC was a two-stroke motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1980 and 1983. Although it immediately succeeded the larger RD400, the RD350LC was powered by a smaller 347cc parallel twin two-stroke engine which actually had the same bore and stroke as the older RD350 (64 x 54mm). However, Yamaha added liquid cooling and made other modifications in porting and exhaust to comply with ever-tightening emissions regulations. The RD350LC was later replaced by the RZ350 / RD350LC II / RD350 YPVS in 1983, but the LC(1) was also sold in that year alongside the new bike. The RD350LC was aimed at the European market alongside the smaller capacity Yamaha RD250LC. Honda VF And VFR
The Honda VF and VFR series is a range of motorcycles first introduced in 1982 by Honda featuring V4 engines (hence the "VF" prefix). History In 1969 Honda revealed the CB750 superbike, establishing the template for the Universal Japanese Motorcycle with a range of transverse inline-fours. Relishing technological innovation, Honda unexpectedly moved on to adopt the V4 ("VF") configuration.
