Qualcomm Stadium Station
Stadium station is a San Diego Trolley stop on the Green Line. The elevated station has an island platform as well as side platforms. It was built in the parking lot of the former San Diego Stadium. The area around the station is undergoing re-development into San Diego State University's Mission Valley campus and the Snapdragon Stadium for the San Diego State Aztecs football team. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons.
