Andy Quy
Andrew Quy (born 4 July 1976) is an English retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper, most notably in the Conference for Hereford United. After retiring as a footballer, he became a goalkeeping coach and worked with the first team squads at Lincoln City, Stoke City, Brentford and Burton Albion. He is currently assistant coach at Charlotte FC. Playing career Quy was born in Harlow and began his career with Tottenham Hotspur on a YTS contract. After failing to win a professional contract at White Hart Lane, he transferred to Derby County in July 1994 and subsequently spent time out on loan at Stalybridge Celtic. Following another non-playing spell at Grimsby Town during the 1996–97 season, Quy had short spells with Stevenage Borough and Kettering Town, before finally finding regular football with Hereford United in 1997. Cardiacs
Cardiacs are an English rock band formed in Kingston upon Thames by Tim Smith (lead guitar and vocals) and his brother Jim (bass, backing vocals) in 1977 under the name Cardiac Arrest. The band's sound fused circus, baroque pop and medieval music with progressive rock and post-punk, adding other elements like nursery rhymes and sea shanties. Tim Smith was the primary lyricist, noted for his complex and innovative compositional style. He and his brother were the only constant members in the band's regularly changing lineup. The band created their own indie label, the Alphabet Business Concern, in 1984 and found mainstream exposure with the single " Is This the Life?" from their debut album ''A Little Man and a House and the Whole World Window'' (1988). Nguyễn Văn Quỳ
Nguyen Van Quy (2 January 1925 – 27 January 2022) was a Vietnamese composer and musician. He started as composer under the artist name Đỗ Quyên, and was later given the nicknames "''Quỳ Sonate''" and "''Vietnamese Beethoven''". He is known for having written nine sonatas for violin and piano, but also for several songs. He was a member of the French music copyright association (Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique: SACEM). Biography Nguyen Van Quy was born in Hanoi and has revealed musical talent since childhood. His melodies are inspired by Vietnamese traditional music as well as French Romanticism. Võ Quý
Võ Quý (December 31, 1929 – January 10, 2017) was a Vietnamese zoologist and professor at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He was an ornithologist and a recipient of the 2003 Blue Planet Prize. During the war against the French, he studied in China, but in 1954 he returned to Vietnam and helped to found the University of Hanoi. He researched the effects of defoliation by the United States in the Vietnam War, and the impact of the herbicides, including Agent Orange used on the environment. He helped to plan government reforestation programmes. Dr. Quy relocated the rare eastern sarus crane, a species badly affected by the war, and helped to establish a treaty for the protection of migratory birds. Phú Quý
Phú Quý is a small island located about 100 km south-east of the city of Phan Thiết, Vietnam. The island contains three communes, with a population of 20,698 people. The island is home to Phu Quy Lighthouse (Hải đăng Phú Quý) situated in the north-west of the island and an abandoned military bunker on the eastern coast.
