Nguyễn Văn Quỳ
Nguyen Van Quy (2 January 1925 – 27 January 2022) was a Vietnamese composer and musician. He started as composer under the artist name Đỗ Quyên, and was later given the nicknames "''Quỳ Sonate''" and "''Vietnamese Beethoven''". He is known for having written nine sonatas for violin and piano, but also for several songs. He was a member of the French music copyright association (Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique: SACEM). Biography Nguyen Van Quy was born in Hanoi and has revealed musical talent since childhood. His melodies are inspired by Vietnamese traditional music as well as French Romanticism. Adolphe Borchard
Adolphe Borchard (1882–1967) was a French pianist and composer who worked on a number of film scores during the 1930s and 1940s including large-budget films such as ''Ultimatum (1938 film), Ultimatum'' (1938). He has several music students. The Vietnamese composer Nguyễn Văn Quỳ is one of them and studied through distance education between 1953 and 1954. Tử Phác
Nguyễn Văn Kim (31 December 1923–1982), better known as his pen name Tử Phác, was a Vietnamese writer, poet, musician, and the author of the famous song "Song of Spinning" (Tiếng hát quay tơ), which was released in 1949. He was also an important participant in the Nhân Văn–Giai Phẩm affair. Biography On December 31, 1923, Nguyễn Văn Kim was born in Hàng Giấy, Đồng Xuân Market, Hanoi. He had often written poems since his childhood. According to Lương Ngọc Trác, Tử Phác was originally from a feudal mandarin family, his grandfather used to be a great mandarin for the Nguyễn dynasty and surrendered to the French Army. His father, after studying in the West, returned to Hanoi to work as a road management bureaucrat. His mother was Trương Tần Phác, a descendant of Trương Định. The Geneva Conference, intended to settle outstanding issues resulting from the Korean War and the First Indochina War, was a conference involving several nations that took place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 26 April to 20 July 1954. The part of the conference on the Korean question ended without adopting any declarations or proposals, so is generally considered less relevant. Hanoi National University of Education (Abbreviation: HNUE; vi, Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội) is a public university in Vietnam. Established in 1951 as the fourth university in Vietnam (after Indochina Medical College (1902), University of Indochina (1904), École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de L'Indochine (1925)), it is one of the largest higher education institutions in this country.
