Quinton Ganther
Quinton Roy Ganther (born July 15, 1984) is an American football coach and former running back who is an offensive assistant for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the running backs coach at Weber State University from 2014 to 2020. Ganther played college football at The University of Utah Utes and Citrus College and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played for five seasons in the NFL with the Titans, Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, and Buffalo Bills. Early years Ganther played high school football at Fairfield High School. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. Reception (American Football)
In gridiron football, a reception, also known informally as a catch, is part of a passing play in which a player in bounds successfully catches (receives) a forward pass thrown from a friendly quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. After making the catch, the receiver will then proceed to run towards the opposing end zone carrying the ball and try to score a touchdown, unless the play ends due to him being downed or forced out of bounds. Yardage gained from the passing play are credited to the catcher as his receiving yards. If the pass is not caught by anyone, it is called an incomplete pass or simply an "incompletion". Kyle Whittingham
Kyle David Whittingham (born November 21, 1959) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the University of Utah, a position he has held since 2005, and is the all-time leader in wins at Utah. Prior to becoming the head coach at Utah, Whittingham served as Utah's defensive coordinator for ten seasons. He was named head coach of Utah after Urban Meyer left for the University of Florida in 2004. He won AFCA Coach of the Year and the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award in 2008 after leading the 2008 Utah Utes football team to an undefeated season and a win in the 2009 Sugar Bowl over the 2008 Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. Citrus College is a public community college in Glendora, California.
