Quintet (grappling)
Quintet (stylized as QUINTET) is a 5 on 5 winner stays on Japanese grappling promotion created by MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba. Quintet is broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. Sakuraba had been developing the format with friend and former UFC champion Josh Barnett and, while in Las Vegas to be inducted to the UFC's Hall of Fame in July 2017, 'Saku' took the chance to pitch the concept to UFC executive Ant Evans. Evans, the content officer for UFC Fight Pass, loved the idea and helped the Japanese team tweak the concept before ultimately signing Quintet to a long-term deal with UFC Fight Pass. Rules Fight Mat 12m x 12m square wrestling mat. No line boundaries. In case of obvious risk of falling out of the mat area, the referee stops the bout and the bout is restarted in a safe area in the same position. Team Alpha Male
Team Alpha Male is a martial arts gym based in Sacramento, California, United States. It is one of the pioneering schools of mixed martial arts (MMA) among the lower weight classes. It has produced three UFC Champions, T.J. Dillashaw, Cody Garbrandt and Deiveson Figueiredo. Overview Urijah Faber founded Team Alpha Male in 2004. The team trains primarily out of Ultimate Fitness located in Sacramento, California. Kazushi Sakuraba
is a Japanese professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and submission wrestler, currently signed to Rizin Fighting Federation and Pro Wrestling Noah, where he was formerly one-half of the former GHC Tag Team Champions with Takashi Sugiura. He has also competed in traditional puroresu for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and shoot-style competition for UWFi and Kingdom Pro Wrestling (KPW). He has fought in MMA competition in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pride Fighting Championships, Hero's and Dream. He is known as the Gracie Hunter or the Gracie Killer due to his wins over four members of the famed Gracie family: Royler Gracie, Renzo Gracie, Ryan Gracie, and Royce Gracie.
