Quinta Del Buitre
is the moniker given by Spanish sport journalist Julio César Iglesias to the five homegrown Real Madrid CF, Real Madrid players who were at the core of the team that dominated Spanish football in the 1980s. The name ("Vulture's Cohort") was derived from Emilio Butragueño's nickname ', the most charismatic and prominent player of the group. The other four members were Manuel Sanchís Hontiyuelo, Sanchís, Rafael Martín Vázquez, Míchel (footballer, born 1963), Míchel and Miguel Pardeza. All five players were graduates of Real Madrid's youth academy, La Fábrica (Real Madrid), La Fábrica. Origin The name originated from an ''El País'' article written by journalist Julio César Iglesias entitled "Amancio Amaro, Amancio y la quinta del Buitre". The 1998 UEFA Champions League Final was a football match that took place at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam, on 20 May 1998 to determine the winner of the 1997–98 UEFA Champions League. The European Champion Clubs' Cup, also known as Coupe des Clubs Champions Européens, or simply the European Cup, is a trophy awarded annually by UEFA to the football club that wins the UEFA Champions League.
