Quinney is an unincorporated community in the town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located along Wisconsin Highway 55 approximately one mile (1 km) north of its southern terminus. Calumet County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 52,442. The county seat is Chilton. The county was created in 1836 (then in the Wisconsin Territory) and organized in 1850. Stockbridge is a town in Calumet County, Wisconsin. The population was 1,456 at the time of the 2010 census. The village of Stockbridge, and the unincorporated communities of Kloten, Quinney, and Saint Catherines Bay are located within the town. Geography Stockbridge is in western Calumet County, on the eastern shore of Lake Winnebago. The village of Stockbridge is slightly north of the center of the town. Area code 920 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for a large area of eastern Wisconsin. It was created on July 26, 1997, in a split from area code 414, which formerly served the entire eastern third of the state. 920 is scheduled to be overlaid with area code 274 on May 5, 2023. In 2008, service providers recognized the need for a second area code for northeastern Wisconsin, leading the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to approve an overlay plan with new area code 274. However, the Great Recession, number porting, a decline in landlines, and other factors delayed that requirement for fifteen years during which implementation was deferred several times. The Old Military Road was a road built by the U.S. Army in 1835-36, connecting Fort Howard ( Green Bay) Wisconsin with Fort Crawford (Prairie du Chien) via Fond du Lac, Fort Winnebago ( Portage), and Dodgeville.
