Dan Quine
Daniel Nicholas Quine (formerly known as Daniel Nicholas Crow) is a computer scientist, currently VP Engineering at AltSchool. Early career Quine learned to program on a ZX81 and a BBC Micro in the 1980s. He received a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Leeds, and earned his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Leeds in 1995. His thesis work used machine learning algorithms to discover patterns in user interactions. In the mid-1990s he was Head of Software Development for Art of Memory where he produced the ''Story of Glass'' multimedia kiosk and CD-ROM amongst others. Silicon Valley In 1996, Quine joined Apple Computer where he initially worked as lead software engineer on the Apple Media Tool. Donald Robert Charles Quine (born September 11, 1938) is an American author, actor, and sports promoter. He is known for his television roles playing Joe Chernak and Stacey Grainger in '' Peyton Place'' and '' The Virginian''. Quine also was the president of the Professional Karate Association (PKA) whose Kick of the 80’s weekly fight series on ESPN ran for close to a decade. He wrote ''American Karate'', a book on self-defense. Richard Edgar Quine (born Richard Edgar Quine on 16 August 1934) is a Manx politician. After serving in the Hong Kong Police Force, he was elected to the House of Keys in 1986, where he represented Ayre until 2004. Edgar Quine was the leader of the Manx political party, the Alliance for Progressive Government and served as deputy Speaker of the House of Keys between 2002 and 2004. John Quine
John Quine (5 May 1857 – 29 February 1940) was a Manx clergyman, scholar, novelist and playwright. He is perhaps best remembered for his 1897 novel, ''The Captain of the Parish''. Richard Quine (November 12, 1920June 10, 1989) was an American director, actor, and singer. He began acting as a child in radio, vaudeville, and stage productions before being signed to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in his early twenties. When his acting career began to wane after World War II, Quine began working as a film director. He later moved into producing and directing television. Robert Wolfe Quine (December 30, 1942 – May 31, 2004) was an American guitarist. A native of Akron, Ohio, Quine worked with a wide range of musicians, though he himself remained relatively unknown. Critic Mark Deming wrote that "Quine's eclectic style embraced influences from jazz, rock, and blues players of all stripes, and his thoughtful technique and uncompromising approach led to rewarding collaborations with a number of visionary musicians." Willard Van Orman Quine (; known to his friends as "Van"; June 25, 1908 – December 25, 2000) was an American philosopher and logician in the analytic tradition, recognized as "one of the most influential philosophers of the twentieth century". From 1930 until his death 70 years later, Quine was continually affiliated with Harvard University in one way or another, first as a student, then as a professor. He filled the Edgar Pierce Chair of Philosophy at Harvard from 1956 to 1978. Quine was a teacher of logic and set theory. William Edward Quine
William Edward Quine (February 9, 1847 – December 7, 1922) was a Manx American physician, academic, and philanthropist. Immigrating to Chicago, Illinois, United States in 1853, Quine attended the Northwestern University College of Medicine and accepted a professorship there upon his graduation. In 1883, he joined the College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he taught for the rest of his life. From 1892 until the merge with the University of Illinois in 1913, he served as dean. Quine donated funds to build a hospital and four schools in China and established a deaconess in Normal, Illinois.
