The Quiksilver Pro France 2015 was an event of the Association of Surfing Professionals for the 2015 ASP World Tour. This event was held from 06 to 17 October at Landes forest, (Aquitaine, France) with the participation of 36 surfers. The tournament was won by Gabriel Medina (BRA), who beat Bede Durbidge Bede Durbidge (born 23 February 1983) is an Australian professional surfer competing on the World Surf League World Tour. Landes Forest
The Landes forest (; La forêt des Landes in French) in the Landes de Gascogne (las Lanas de Gasconha in the Gascon language), in the historic Gascony natural region of southwestern France now known as Aquitaine, is the largest man-made woodland in Western Europe. Owen Wright (born 16 January 1990) is an Australian professional surfer on the World Surf League (formerly the Association of Surfing Professionals) Men's Championship Tour. His sister, Tyler Wright (surfer), Tyler Wright, is also a competitor on the World Surf League Championship Tour. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Olympics Wright Owen Wright battled Brazil, past injury and rough seas to take Australia's first surfing Olympic bronze medal. John "John John" Alexander Florence (born October 18, 1992) is an American professional surfer. He is known as "one of the most dominant pipe surfers of his era" and won back-to-back world titles on the 2016 World Surf League and 2017 World Surf League Men's Championship Tour. He is the first Hawaii-born surfer to win back-to-back world titles since the late Andy Irons and one of five to ever achieve the feat. Michel Bourez
Michel Bourez (born 30 December 1985) is a French professional surfer. Biography Bourez was born on the island of Rurutu in the Tuamotus Islands in French Polynesia and started surfing at age 13. European champion in 2006, Michel entered the ASP World Tour in 2009. His best results on the World Tour came in 2014, with a fifth place in the overall classification, having won twice during the year; at Margaret River Pro 2014 and Rio de Janeiro and third place in Fiji Pro. His 2015 season was hampered by a severe injury in May, when doing a free surf session at Teahupoo. A fractured hand and cervical vertebra forced him out of the Rio and Fiji events. Michael Eugene Fanning (born 13 June 1981) is an Australian professional surfer who was crowned champion of the Association of Surfing Professionals/World Surf League (ASP/WSL)'s World Tour in 2007, 2009 and 2013.
