Carroll Quigley
Carroll Quigley (; November 9, 1910 – January 3, 1977) was an American historian and theorist of the evolution of civilizations. He is remembered for his teaching work as a professor at Georgetown University, and for his writing about global conspiracies, in which he argued that an Anglo-American banking elite have worked together for centuries to spread certain values globally. Joseph Richard Quigley (born 10 December 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Chesterfield. He was previously at AFC Bournemouth, and has played in the English Football League on loan at Gillingham and Newport County. Derek Francis Quigley (born 31 January 1932) is a New Zealand former politician. He was a prominent member of the National Party during the late 1970s and early 1980s, and was known for his support of free market economics and trade liberalisation. Quigley left the National Party after clashing with its leadership, and later co-founded the ACT New Zealand party. Alexandria "Allie" Quigley (born June 20, 1986) is an American and Hungarian professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Quigley played for DePaul University in Chicago. After graduating in 2008, Quigley was drafted by Seattle Storm with the 22nd overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft. James Edward Quigley (October 15, 1854 – July 10, 1915) was a Canadian-born prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo in New York (1897–1903) and archbishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago in Illinois (1903–1915). Fannie Quigley (1870 – August 25, 1944) was an American pioneer and prospector and cook who became involved in mining operations during the Klondike Gold Rush. Living in the wilderness of what is now Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, she was known for her hunting, trapping, and cooking skills. Biography Quigley was born Frances Sedlacek in Wahoo, Nebraska, in 1870. She left home and headed west at age 16, finding employment at work camps along the growing Union Pacific Railroad. She continued her travels north during the Klondike Gold Rush, arriving in Dawson City, Yukon, in 1897. Quigley earned a living by cooking for prospectors; she would load up a sled with a portable stove and provisions, hike out to remote creeks where prospectors were often ill-prepared, and sell her meals from out of a tent. Colleen Quigley
Colleen Quigley (born November 20, 1992) is an American middle-distance runner, steeplechase specialist and an Olympian from St. Louis, Missouri. She is the current World Record holder in the 4x1500 meters relay (set July 31, 2020). Competing in the 3000 meters steeplechase, she finished 8th at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and 12th at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing. She was the 2019 US National Indoor Champion in the one-mile event running 4:29.47 to capture the title and was the 2015 NCAA Champion in the 3000 meters steeplechase. Ernie Quigley
Ernest Cosmos Quigley (March 22, 1880 – December 10, 1960) was a Canadian-born American sports official who became notable both as a basketball referee and as an umpire in Major League Baseball. He also worked as an American football coach and official. Born in Canada and raised in Concordia, Kansas, Quigley attended college and law school at the University of Kansas. There he played college basketball under the game's inventor, James Naismith. He became the head football coach at Kansas Wesleyan University and then the athletic director at the University of Kansas. Quigley refereed college basketball for 40 years and umpired more than 3,000 Major League Baseball games. Martin Quigley (born 1951 in Rathnure, County Wexford) is an Irish people, Irish former sportsman. He played hurling for his local club Rathnure GAA, Rathnure and at senior level for the Wexford county hurling team, Wexford county team in the 1970s and 1980s. Playing career Club Quigley played his club hurling with the Rathnure GAA, Rathnure club. He won his first senior Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, county title with the club in 1971. Mary Elizabeth Quigley (February 28, 1960 – September 10, 1977) was an American murder victim whose death was a cold case for nearly 30 years before it was finally solved. Mary was a senior at Santa Clara High School (Santa Clara, California), Santa Clara High School in California.
