Qui-nai-elt Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 54 at the 2010 census. The community is in the southwestern part of the Quinault Indian Nation in western Grays Harbor County, about east of the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered to the south by the community of Moclips. Neilton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 299 at the 2020 census, down from 315 at the 2010 census. Geography Neilton is located in northern Grays Harbor County at (47.403574, -123.887303), within Olympic National Forest along U.S. Route 101. The CDP extends north along US 101 to Boulder Creek and south to Cook Creek, while to the east it runs to the crest of Quinault Ridge. US 101 leads north to Amanda Park and south to Humptulips. Aberdeen is to the south on US 101, and Queets is to the northwest. According to the United States Census Bureau, the Neilton CDP has a total area of , all of it land. Moclips is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 207 at the 2010 census. It is located near the mouth of the Moclips River. According to Edmond S. Meany, the word ''moclips'' comes from a Quinault word meaning a place where girls were sent as they were approaching puberty. However, according to William Bright, the name comes from the Quinault word meaning simply "large stream". History The indigenous inhabitants of the area were members of the Quinault tribe along the coast north of Grays Harbor and the Upper and Lower Chehalis tribes of the lower Chehalis River drainage. Other groups included the Copalis, Wynoochee, and Humptulips subtribes of the Upper Chehalis subtribe, and the Satsop subtribe of the Lower Chehalis. Area code 360 is the telephone area code for western Washington state outside metropolitan Seattle. It began service on January 15, 1995. The numbering plan area (NPA), which encompasses all of western Washington outside urban King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties and Bainbridge Island, was previously part of area code 206. Area codes 360 and 334 (Alabama), which began service on the same day, were the first two area codes in the North American Numbering Plan with a middle digit other than 0 or 1.
