Quenton Meeks
Quenton Meeks (born June 20, 1997) is an American football cornerback for the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Stanford. Early years Meeks attended Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. He committed to Stanford University to play college football. College career Meeks played at Stanford from 2015 to 2017. After his junior season in 2017, he decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. During his career he had 115 tackles, seven interceptions and two touchdowns. Professional career Jacksonville Jaguars Meeks signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. He was waived on September 1, 2018 and was signed to the practice squad the next day. He was promoted to the active roster on October 6, 2018. On August 31, 2019, Meeks was waived by the Jaguars. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Ron Meeks
Ron Meeks (born August 27, 1954) is a former gridiron football player and coach. His son is former Stanford cornerback Quenton Meeks. Meeks played high school football for the Robert E. Lee Generals in Jacksonville, Florida. Meeks played college football at Arkansas State University and in the professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ottawa Rough Riders and Toronto Argonauts. Non-football injury and non-football illness (NFI) are roster designations used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who are unable to practice as a result of conditions unrelated to football, or injuries that did not occur during NFL games or practices. They are similar to the physically unable to perform and injured reserve lists. Active/NFI Players who report to training camp injured or ill due to injuries or illnesses sustained outside of NFL practices or games can be placed on the active/non-football injury or active/non-football illness lists while they recover.
