Jonah Woodson Hex is a fictional antihero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga. Hex is a surly and cynical bounty hunter whose face is scarred on the right side. Despite his poor reputation and personality, Hex is bound by a personal code of honor to protect and avenge the innocent. The character was portrayed by Josh Brolin in the 2010 film adaptation of the same name. Thomas Jane provided his voice in a DC Animated short film. He is portrayed by Johnathon Schaech in ''DC's Legends of Tomorrow'' and appeared in the Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths". James Palmiotti (born August 14, 1961) is an American writer and inker of comic books, who also does writing for games, television and film. Early life Palmiotti attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City. Career Palmiotti started at Marvel Comics in 1991. He inked titles such as the ''Punisher'', ''Ghost Rider'', '' The Nam'' and the Marvel 2099 line, and has accumulated extensive inking and writing credits. He often inked the work of his friend and collaborator Joe Quesada. Together, they created ''Ash'' and ''Painkiller Jane''. Johnathon Schaech ( ; born September 10, 1969) is an American actor and screenwriter. He has been working as an actor since the early '90s. Early life Johnathon Schaech was born in Edgewood, Maryland, in 1969 to Joe, a Baltimore City law enforcement officer, and Joanne Schaech, a human resources executive. He is Catholic.
