Quemado de Güines () is a municipality and town in the Villa Clara Province of Cuba. It was founded in 1667. Geography The municipality is divided into the poblados of Caguaguas, Carahatas, Güines, Paso Cavado, Poblado, San Valentín and Zambumbia and Jose R. Riquelme. It borders with the municipalities of Corralillo in the west, Sagua la Grande in the east, and Santo Domingo in south. Sagua La Grande
Sagua la Grande (nicknamed ''La Villa del Undoso'', sometimes shortened in Sagua) is a municipality located on the north coast of the province of Villa Clara in central Cuba, on the Sagua la Grande River. The city is close to Mogotes de Jumagua, limestone cliffs. Many cays of the Sabana-Camaguey Archipelago are located off the northern coast. People born in Sagua are called "guajiros". History Sagua la Grande was founded in 1812 and established as a municipality in 1842. Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago
Sabana-Camagüey ( es, Archipiélago de Sabana-Camagüey ) is an archipelago that lies on Cuba's north-central Atlantic coast. It is located off the northern coast of the provinces of Matanzas, Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila and Camagüey, and is bounded to the north by the Atlantic Ocean, specifically by the Nicholas Channel (Sabana segment) and Old Bahama Channel (Camagüey segment). The archipelago is positioned on a general north-west to south-east axis, and stretches for from the Hicacos Peninsula and Varadero to the Bay of Nuevitas. Osvaldo Farrés (; January 13, 1903 – December 22, 1985) was a Cuban songwriter and composer best known for having written the songs "", "", "", and "".
