One Queensbridge
One Queensbridge (or Crown Queensbridge) was a proposed mixed–used supertall skyscraper to be located in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Australia. The skyscraper would have become the tallest building in Melbourne, surpassing the height of Australia 108, and the tallest building in Australia, eclipsing the height of Q1. In addition to being the tallest, the development would have been one of the biggest single–building projects in Australia, encompassing of floor area. Proposed by Crown Limited and the Schiavello Group, the $1.75 billion skyscraper would have reached in height, and comprised a six–star hotel of 388 rooms, in conjunction with 708 residential apartments, over 90 levels. Additionally, a footbridge was to link the project to the Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex, across Queensbridge Street. Queensbridge Houses, also known simply as Queensbridge, is a public housing development in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, New York City. Owned by the New York City Housing Authority, the development contains 29 buildings and 3,142 units accommodating approximately 7,000 people in two separate complexes (North and South). 21st Street–Queensbridge Station
The 21st Street–Queensbridge station is a metro station, station on the 63rd Street Lines, IND 63rd Street Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 21st Street and 41st Avenue within Queensbridge Houses, Queensbridge in Long Island City, Queens, it is served by the F (New York City Subway service), F train at all times and the Fd (New York City Subway service), <F> train during rush hours in the reverse peak direction. The station contains two tracks and two side platforms, connected by an overhead mezzanine. It opened in October 1989 with the opening of the 63rd Street Line. From its opening until 2001, this was the terminal of the line, although it was not originally intended as a terminal station. The 63rd Street Line was originally part of a plan for a Queens Bypass Line running along the Main Line (Long Island Rail Road), Long Island Rail Road Main Line. Queensbridge (ward)
Queensbridge was a ward in the London Borough of Hackney, forming part of the Hackney South and Shoreditch constituency. The ward, renamed London Fields as of the 2014 local elections, returns three councillors to Borough Council, with an election every four years. At the election on 6 May 2010, Emma Plouviez, Tom Price, and Patrick Vernon, all Labour Party candidates, were returned. Turnout was 58%, with 5,360 votes cast. In 2001, Queensbridge ward had a total population of 10,165, near the average ward population within the borough of 10,674. The population at the 2011 Census was 13,670.
