Queens County Savings Bank is a historic bank building, that used to house the Kew Gardens Hills branch of the Queens Library, located on Main Street (Queens), Main Street in the Kew Gardens Hills, Queens, Kew Gardens Hills section of the New York City Boroughs of New York City, borough of Queens. It was built in 1953-1954 to resemble Independence Hall in the Georgian architecture, Georgian Revival style. It is a brick building that consists of a tall central tower with flanking two-story, side-gabled wings. It is four bays wide and has a six-stage, square tower featuring a second story Palladian architecture#Venetian and Palladian windows, Palladian window. Main Street is a major north-south street in the borough of Queens in New York City, extending from Queens Boulevard in Briarwood to Northern Boulevard in Flushing. Created in the 17th century as one of Flushing's main roads, Main Street has been lengthened at various points in its existence.
