Queen Eun'go
Queen Eun'go () was the last queen consort of Baekje and the only recorded wife of King Uija in history. She was also called as Grand Lady () or Lady Eun'go (). Her name is mentioned only once in " Nihon Shoki". After the fall of Baekje by the Silla-Tang alliance, on 13 July 660 (20th years reign of King Uija), Queen Eun'go was captured by a Tang general Su Dingfang and sent to Tang, along with her husband, some of his sons, high-level ministers, also at least 88 generals and more than 12,000 civilians. According to the inscription on the Jeongnimsa Temple (대당평백제국비문, 大唐平百濟國碑文) and the Nihon Shoki book, the wife of one of the Baekje's generals played an important role in the fall of the Baekje, but there are claims that General Baekje's wife and Queen Eun'go are the same person in fact. William George Aston (9 April 1841 – 22 November 1911) was an Anglo-Irish diplomat, author and scholar-expert in the language and history of Japan and Korea. Baekje
Baekje or Paekche (, ) was a Korean kingdom located in southwestern Korea from 18 BC to 660 AD. It was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, together with Goguryeo and Silla. Baekje was founded by Onjo, the third son of Goguryeo's founder Jumong and So Seo-no, at Wiryeseong (present-day southern Seoul). Baekje, like Goguryeo, claimed to succeed Buyeo, a state established in present-day Manchuria around the time of Gojoseon's fall. Baekje alternately battled and allied with Goguryeo and Silla as the three kingdoms expanded control over the peninsula. Five Storied Stone Pagoda Of Jeongnimsa Temple Site
The Five storied stone pagoda of Jeongnimsa Temple site ( ko, 부여 정림사지 오층석탑) is a five-story pagoda standing on a single narrow and low base pedestal. It was built in the Baekje Era. Origin On the first floor of this stone pagoda, it is referred to as the Pyeongsung Tower of Baekje. Recently, a tile engraved with the temple name Jungrimsa was found at this temple site and the site was named Jeongnimsa Temple Site. Configuration Each pedestal is fixed by a pillar stone. Each corner of the pagoda body in each story holds a pillar stone using the ''beheullim'' technique, where a pillar's upper and lower extremities are narrow while its middle is convex.
