Route 340 is a provincial highway situated in the Montérégie region of Quebec west of Montreal. It runs for just over 40 kilometers from the Ontario-Quebec border in Saint-Télesphore (as a continuation of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Road 18) and ends in Vaudreuil-Dorion at the junction of Autoroute 20. Saint-Polycarpe, Quebec
Saint-Polycarpe () is a municipality located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region west of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and just east of the Quebec-Ontario border. It was named for Polycarp, a 2nd-century bishop of Smyrna. The population as of the 2021 Canadian Census was 2,372. While a parish during the 18th century, its territory included portions of what is now part of Saint-Zotique. History Settlement began around 1800 when a sawmill and a flour mill were built at the rapids of the Delisle river. In 1818, a chapel was built there and in 1830, the parish was established, called Saint-Polycarpe de la Nouvelle-Longueuil. Its post office was built in 1846. In 1845, the Municipality of La Nouvelle-Longueuil was created, but abolished in 1847. In 1855, it was recreated out of Vaudreuil County as the Parish Municipality of Saint-Polycarpe. Pincourt, Quebec
Pincourt () is a municipality on the island of Île Perrot, off the western tip of the island of Montreal, Quebec. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 14,305. The town shares the island with the three other municipalities of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Terrasse Vaudreuil and L'Île-Perrot, bordering on each one. The south end of the Ottawa River (''Rivière des Outaouais'') flows between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Pincourt, defining the town's western boundary. It is located on the south-west bank of the lower Ottawa River, in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec
Coteau-du-Lac is a small city in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. The name of the town comes from the French word ''Coteau'' which meant "slope" and from its location on the north shore of Lake Saint Francis. The National Historic Site of Canada of the Coteau-du-Lac canal is the location of the first canal lock system in North America. The city has an industrial park. Les Coteaux, Quebec
Les Coteaux is a municipality in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It is located north of the Saint Lawrence River and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. It was formed from the merger in 1994 of Coteau-Station (north of Autoroute 20) and Coteau-Landing (south of Autoroute 20). Prior to 1985, Coteau-Station had been known as Station-du-Coteau. History Coteau-Landing was the historic location at the upper end of rapids on the St. Lawrence River where canoeing and boating parties had to land in order to portage around the rapids. It was formerly called ' (English: Cove of Boats). At the end of the 17th century, a staging post was built there for voyageurs and fur traders. Saint-Zotique () is a municipality located within the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region located about 45 minutes west of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is named for Saint Zoticus of Comana. The municipality resides on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River and Lake Saint Francis and along the Quebec City–Windsor Corridor, the most populated area in Canada. This is a list of the regional county municipalities (RCM or MRC) and equivalent territories (TE) in the province of Quebec, Canada. They are given along with their geographical codes as specified by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy, and the administrative regions to which they belong. RCMs are county-like units of government at the supralocal level. However, not all municipalities belong to an RCM. Saint-Lazare, Quebec
Saint-Lazare is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada in the Regional County Municipality of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. History Originally part of the Seigneurie de Vaudreuil in the 18th century, the territory corresponding to Saint-Lazare was considered difficult to farm owing to sandy soil, and remained mostly uninhabited. In 1812, the first settlers were Americans from New England, then circa 1820 English from Cumberland, followed soon after by French Canadians. Saint-Lazare was founded as a parish municipality on December 29, 1875. The first church was built in 1877, destroyed by a fire in 1942 and subsequently rebuilt in 1947. Les Cèdres is a municipality located north of the Saint Lawrence River in the Montérégie of Quebec, Canada, near Vaudreuil-Dorion. The population as of the Canada 2021 Census was 7,184. The name means "The Cedars" in French. There is an extensive rapid on the St. Lawrence River at this location. During the American Revolution, the Battle of the Cedars was fought in the vicinity. Saint-Clet is a municipality located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality within the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. The population as of the 2021 Canadian census was .
