Route 253 is a north–south highway on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. Its northern terminus is in East Angus at Route 112 and its southern terminus is at the Vermont border, where it becomes Vermont Route 253. Cookshire-Eaton
Cookshire-Eaton is a city in the Estrie region of Quebec. It is the seat of Le Haut-Saint-François Regional County Municipality. Sherbrooke Airport is located there. As part of the 2000–2006 municipal reorganization in Quebec, on July 24, 2002 the city of Cookshire, the municipality of Newport and the township of Eaton were merged to form Cookshire-Eaton; prior to this, on April 25, 2001, the village of Sawyerville had merged with Eaton. After a 2004 referendum, however, Newport de-merged and was reconstituted as an independent municipality as of January 1, 2006. Nevertheless, Newport and Cookshire-Eaton both remain part of the urban agglomeration of Cookshire-Eaton. The community had a population of 5,171 in the Canada 2011 Census. Route 210 is a provincial highway located in the Estrie region of Quebec. The highway runs from west to east from the Eaton area of Cookshire-Eaton at the junction of Route 108 to Chartierville at the junction of Route 257, via the village of Sawyerville. Between Eaton and Sawyerville, it overlaps Route 253 for slightly more than . Approximately of the easternmost section of Route 210 is unpaved, other than the final approaching the terminus at Route 257. East Hereford, Quebec
East Hereford is a municipality of about 260 people in southeastern Quebec, Canada, in Coaticook Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region. East Hereford is located just north of Beecher Falls, Vermont, and on the east side of East Hereford it is bordered by New Hampshire. Halls Stream, a south-flowing tributary of the Connecticut River, forms the eastern boundary of the municipality and the Canada–United States border.
