Qudus Wahab
Qudus Abolaji Wahab (born 30 January 2000) is a Nigerian college basketball player for the Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball, Georgetown Hoyas of the Big East Conference. He previously played for the Maryland Terrapins men's basketball, Maryland. Early life and high school career Wahab was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, spending the first 15 years of his life there before moving to the United States. He spent his freshman and sophomore years of high school at the Virginia Academy before transferring to the Flint Hill School for the rest of his high school career. Maryland Terrapins Men's Basketball
The Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team represents the University of Maryland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I competition. Maryland, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), left the ACC in 2014 to join the Big Ten Conference. Gary Williams, who coached the Terrapins from 1989 to 2011, led the program to its greatest success, including two consecutive Final Fours, which culminated in the 2002 NCAA National Championship. Under Williams, Maryland appeared in 11 straight NCAA tournaments from 1994 to 2004. He retired in May 2011 and was replaced by former Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon. 2021 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 Big East men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference. It was held from March 10 through March 13, 2021, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Georgetown received the conference's bid to the 2021 NCAA tournament. Seeds All 11 Big East schools participated in the tournament. Teams were seeded by the conference record with tie-breaking procedures to determine the seeds for teams with identical conference records. The top five teams received first-round byes. The 2020–21 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team represented Georgetown University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. Practices officially began in late September. On March 12, 2020, the NCAA announced that all remaining winter and spring championships for both men's and women's sports were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
